Kedvelték Beautiful secluded and peaceful setting. If you love nature, you will love it here - we spotted woodpeckers, swallows, sparrows, robins and chaffinches. Listening to the river at night was bliss! My children spent many happy hours climbing on the rocks and playing in the trees. The owners of the site were lovely and helpful.

Nem kedvelték The midges! Come prepared - they are relentless. (I like nature but not when it's eating me.) There was a noisy group of young people on the second night who trashed the toilets which was a bit annoying as I thought big groups were not allowed.

Kedvelték Lovely location with great walks along the river. Really handy for Thorpe Park, Chessington and LegoLand. Showers were hot! Staff were very friendly.

Nem kedvelték Avoid parking under the trees - your car will be covered in bird poop!! Some of the facilities are a little dated, such as the playground and the toilet seats need replacing.

Kedvelték The most incredible views - it really is a truly stunning place. The owners were very friendly and came to check in on us and say hello. Very, very quiet. I had an amazing night's sleep the first night as it was so dark and quiet. Lots of wildlife. A sense of freedom - no actual pitches. Just find somewhere you like and camp there. It felt more natural.

Nem kedvelték Very basic facilities and no warm water. Lots of sheep poo and slopes. The farmhouse is a little way along the road and there was a group of people being noisy on the second night. It made me feel aware of my vulnerability as a single mum with my kids. Remember your torch! It's very dark.

Kedvelték The views are lovely and it's a good spot if you want to go on walks. The kids enjoyed playing on the little playground.

Nem kedvelték This is a very basic campsite which wasn't well maintained. The toilets were very small and cramped and weren't cleaned enough, leaving them in quite a state. The bins were overflowing. The staff in the pub seemed overwhelmed and unsure of what they were doing. No BBQs are allowed but the pub stopped serving food at 6pm so we had to drive into the local town to find somewhere to eat.

Kezelői megjegyzés: Hi Natalie, Thank you for your review. Over the bank holiday we were extremely busy which was to be expected and on Sunday we did put on a beer and live music festival. This all resulted in the excess amount of rubbish which added up over the weekend. - We did get this all cleaned away by Tuesday. We don't allow fires or bbq's due to the fire risk. As we are largely a camping site, tents are very flammable so we are limiting these due to the customs safety. We hope you can understand. - We do allow gas hobs or anything electrical which can be easily switched off in an emergency situation.

Kedvelték The park is great and there are lots of animals for the children to see. The campsite is large so the children could have a good run around but enclosed so they felt safe. The toilets were very clean and the showers were lovely and warm. The staff are friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come again. Matlock Bath is brilliant. We really enjoyed our little holiday here.

Nem kedvelték The only little problem is that the park is not really suitable for very little ones and it doesn't have a fence around it. My youngest is 18 months old and he desperately wanted to play with the older ones on the park but it wasn't really safe for him. It's not a criticism of the campsite - just something to bear in mind if you are booking a campsite and you have a toddler in the party.

Kedvelték - The play area is excellent. It is right in the middle of the site so that it can be seen from the tents. This meant that the children were able to roam freely but we could still keep an eye on them. - The toilet block was modern and clean. - The site is next to Riddings Wood which is great for walks. - Wildlife - we saw lots of bats! - Lovely views at the site. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but it was really quick and easy to get to the big shops if we had forgotten anything. - Very quiet and relaxed.

Nem kedvelték - The site is on a slope but it is a gentle slope and it is Derbyshire! - The facilities get very busy in the morning. There are only two showers in the ladies so there was a long queue and there was no toilet paper. There are two sinks for washing up so I had to queue there too. - The electric pitches looked very close together. - Someone was allowed onto the site at 10pm so were driving around the site in the dark looking for somewhere to set up which I didn't like.
