Kedvelték We had a fabulous 3 night stay over the bank holiday weekend at the end of August. Our pitch was spacious and despite a long dry spell followed by a fair bit of heavy rain, the grass drained well and wasn't boggy or waterlogged. The kids absolutely loved the tree swing and the hammocks and were never out of the stream. The toilets and showers in the shed were clean and all you needed. The lady running it was super welcoming, happy to chat with the kids and even took them to show them a part of the stream whilst we were setting up. She came and checked on us a few times through our stay. 10/10 host. The field is at the bottom of a very big hill. You must park at the top, cannot take your car down - which we knew - but it's an absolute killer with a wheelbarrow full of kit and a large 8man steel poled tent - we got our workout in for sure reloading the car 🤣 The campsite owner was incredibly helpful in helping us unload on arrival in her car (she did offer a hand in reloading but we wernt quite fully packed up and we all know how much of a game of Tetris loading the car is so we didn't make taking our time and doing it ourselves). There is a pub close by which we didn't make use of. 12 minutes to Kirkby Lonsdale and not much further in the other direction to Kendal. Supermarkets, shops, pubs and walks all easily accessible with your car. We had a lovely Chinese takeout in the tent one evening. The roads in are VERY narrow and hilly with large hedges either side, I was worried about the condition of the roads during the torrential downpours forecast, but they were fine! We will recommend to all and look to return next year. Thank you Puddlemire!

Kezelői megjegyzés: Thank you a 10 is always very much appreciated, so glad you all enjoyed the natural playground, without cars it does mean the children are very safe & the space next to the stream is saved for tent & campfires. We would love to see your family return.

Kedvelték The spacious private pitches surrounded by long grass and wildflowers. The friendliness of the owners. The honesty shack shop. The sheep you can feed.

Nem kedvelték Nothing!

Kedvelték Spacious pitches, fabulous park and open space for the kids to make friends and play. Toilets and shower block was warm and kept clean, even on wet mornings and evenings. Pizza van on a Saturday was a lovely touch! The views are beautiful!

Nem kedvelték As a tent right on the lower field, I wish the facilities block in the middle of the site was open. Also, wasn't keep on being on a slightly sloped pitch, but we did like it's location so swings and roundabouts 🤷🏼‍♀️
