Kedvelték Large site, great location close to Ilam & Dovedale where I did 2 days of walks. Hosts very welcoming & friendly, toilet block kept very clean & plenty of toilet roll made available, excellent hot showers, they even have low music playing in the building. Washing up area outside under tin roof, hot water available. Excellent value for money. Would definitely return again

Nem kedvelték It would be very helpful to have shower screen/curtain in the shower cubicles to separate personal items away from shower spray, along with a few hooks to hang clothing & shelving to put toiletries etc, same goes for the wash basins, would be very helpful to have shelving & hooks, apart from those I was happy with toilet block.

Kedvelték A well looked after site with good facilities including two toilet blocks, communal room with tables, chairs. couches, tv, microwaves, kettle & 2 large fridge freezers. Next to communal room, undercover, are further seating areas on picnic tables and work surfaces, next door to that, again undercover, is the washing up area again with work surfaces, all very useful, particularly if the weather is bad and you dont particularly wish to do cooking by the tent. Reception has small shop selling basic provisions. There is childs play area and recycle bins etc. Showers are great, lovely, hot and included in the cost, toilet facilities very clean and tidy, there is a laundry room onsite. We have stayed here a few times both camping, at the top camping pitches beyond the hedgerow as this provides stunning views across the peaks including Blencathra, we watch the beautiful sunsets and sunrises, the views just take your breath away, we've stayed in one of the pods too, again very clean & provide warmth, comforts and the basics. Will continue to return as offers everything we need and great location for many areas in the North of the Lakes.
