Avon Wild Camping was the perfect venue for our family camping trip. Generous pitches with plenty of space for privacy, a lovely river where we all swam. Jo was welcoming and really helpful. We borrowed a fire pit and enjoyed our evenings sat round the fire. The stone baked pizzas went down well & the shop was very handy for wood, water and cold drinks. The toilets were very clean and nicely decorated too. A lovely peaceful site, we’ll definitely be back!

Where to start cept this is the worst over priced site we have ever had misfortune to book!
Arrived Saturday to totally packed field where you struggled to find a spot; and people just kept rolling up ! Pure greed! We’re like sardines ! People in the hedges and woods industrial scale destroying the trees for their fire pits (yet logs for sale onsite very reasonably priced)
Decided next day would hope it thinned out. It did . Witnessed people stealing other people’s property as they left!
The place is like big brother house for cameras . Entrance gate is dangerous exiting onto a fast road no view till your in the road! Needs a mirror! River isn’t suitable for young children too deep that is if you could get to it ! It clearly said don’t camp on the rivers edge as it’s there for ALL to enjoy you could t get even close could have been sat in a field anywhere where we ended up having to go. The “welcome “ text sent out isn’t welcoming its abrupt.
We camp every weekend without fail and this field was the pits for fellow campers attitude, it’s a £15 a night place at best ! Wild West not wild camping!

It was a wonderful site very friendly,clean met some lovely people very respectable great for kids ,family's even pets can't wait to stay again 😊

There's not one thing we disliked

Big site and plenty of space!
Lived having the waterway running through the campsite as we had 2 warm visits! Different depths for paddleboarding, swimming and dipping😊

Toilets are immaculate.

Owners are lovely, accommodating,and are constantly looking for ways to better the site.

Nothing is too big an ask.

I've been twice in 2 weeks and will certainly be back!

Really friendly owners and a fabulous site. Lots of space and a lovely river to cool off in. We were allowed to have a late check out which gave us all day to enjoy the sunshine

This is the most amazing chilled out campsite. Set on the banks of the Avon, children can paddle and swim safely. The site is never crowded, it is very basic but that it what makes it so lovely!

Lovely site, feels in the middle of nowhere but is close to everywhere. Informal, not plush but all the better for it. Basic but functional with lovely hosts who also offer pizzas and slushies for sale. Private hire also available. Pitch by the river was lovely, kids loved swimming and paddling.

No water tap.
