Been avon several times and always enjoyed it. However it has increased in price a lot with no extra facilities ie showers, running water or waste disposal. The park area has gone and care of the river running though the site is not maintained meaning there are parts you can't get though.

What a little hidden gem. We arrived to the most beautiful bell tent amongst reeds and river. Jo and Craig were lovely hosts, friendly and helpful. The children thoroughly enjoyed playing and making other camping friends. It’s a stunning spot, secluded and quiet next to a lovely river. We most certainly will be back.

Once again amazing the pizza was to die for and the staff very friendly 100% go for my third time

Absolutely nothing

Friendly staff, beautiful location and great now there is option to buy bits and pizzas too.

Entrance gate is very close to the road which makes it difficult / dangerous when leaving/ arriving at the site. Could do with bringing the gate down in to the entrance by a couple of metres to make it safer.

This is our 5th year returning to Avon wild camping and as ever it has been great.
The simplicity of the site is what makes it great.
The kids spend most of their time in the river or playing games like rounders football frisbee or just on a rope swing.
Us adults spend the first few hours just unwinding from life in general
Then we are like the kids.
By the end of the first day everyone is shattered well exercised and well fed sat round a fire pit.
We camp as a group of 12-15 made up in ages from 11-50.
We all thought that the kids would be bored but they are asking if we are booking for next year.
We are.
As for the amenities
Toilets and sinks where clean they have even been decorated with some funky wall paper an upgrade from bare osb.
Plenty of fire pits available to use

We have no dislikes with the site at all. but just as with everything nice
There is always people who want to ruin it.
1 group of campers thought it would be ok to be loud and disrespectful to all other campers once they had a belly full of drink.
You do get idiots everywhere.
The management team very professionally dealt with the campers and they were ejected from site.

Came for one night in the bell tent with my 13 year old daughter.
We loved our stay, hosts were so welcoming and everything was set up perfectly. Bell tent was well furnished with everything we needed. Toilets on site and a small kitchen clean up. The area was beautiful and quiet. When going to bigger spaces can easily become noisy but we found it peaceful and quiet. Pizza and hot dogs available to buy, we had pizza and it was very good. Loved our stay will try to come again 😊
