A vállalkozására vonatkozó információk megadásaNo need to gamble on having a fine sandy time at Centro Vacanze Poker in Chieti: it's a piffling 50 metres from its own golden sandy beach on the splendidly fab Abruzzo coast looking out to the blue Adriatic Sea.
Have long lazy days on the sands and in the water here, then wander the minute or two leisurely back to site for dinner at the site restaurant, overlooking the pool/solarium and serving evening menus and buffet dinners as well as filling breakfasts, quick lunches and snacks. And do be sure to get back to base in time for an espresso or cocktail for happy hour at the bar pre-food…
Bikes and canoes can be hired on site for more long leisurely days pedalling and paddling in the Chieti surroundings – you'll find a lot to see among this ancient Abruzzo landscape – or you could just stay near your pitch to have even more languid times at the Centro Vacanze Poker wellness centre's spa with sauna, Jacuzzi and massage room. (A gym is at the centre too if you really must.)
There's quite a bit more at this modern and well-equipped coastal park: you could also take the kids to the playground or the pooch to the dedicated dog exercise area, settle down solitarily in the games and reading room, or join in the many summer activities including music nights, sports tournaments and card games.
The well-kept amenities include toilets and showers, a washing-up area and a laundry room. A food shop is on hand for supplies, and both barbecues and campfires are allowed.

Nearby Vasto is one of many ancient towns and needs at least a couple of days, one to see its cathedral and wander around the vast gardens of the Palazzo D'Avalos; the other to take the spectacularly scenic stroll along the sands to another jaw-dropping stretch of sand around the lighthouse at Punta Penna, in the Natural Reserve of Punta Aderci.
The local cuisine of this coastal region is based around fish and seafood, so be sure to sample as much as is humanly possible of its clams, mussels, squid, prawns, sole, and fish soup – and get to the local covered market for other Abruzzo famed foods like its cheese, charcuterie and Abruzzo lamb and mutton. Full-on foodie? Sniff around the Pig Museum in the beaut town of Carpineto Sinello.
A bit further afield, hike off lazy beach days and much Abruzzo food with walks around the scenic rural villages in the Maiella mountains.
