Wifi at the reception only. No sign of grey/blackwater disposal or drinking water supply.
Showers + toilet at the reception are ok, but at night a very dark walk from the camping field. Even at daylight my kids were scared to pass the empty (?) buildings and refused to walk alone.
Gate at the camping field has to stay closed, but its too heavy for kids to open/close it by themselves.

Nem kedvelték This does not feel like this is set up as a camp site yet . We spent 15 mins looking for site, called 3 times and spoke to a polite man who eventually showed us to an empty field with no facilities. There was a wedding taking place on site which we feel really uncomfortable with . We ask the worker to cancel are booking , which he said he could not do and to contact pitch up. The wedding had taken place over the bar and bistro so not available for us to use. We left immediately and ended driving home as to late to find an alternative.

Kedvelték The field itself was quiet and had a beautiful view. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, as were other people we met such as the equestrians and dog trainer who live on the site.

Nem kedvelték Toilets / showers were unisex but lock didn’t work on the “changing room” and only curtains for the showers which was a little uncomfortable when alone. The floor was grubby and no bins. A shelf or hook in the showers would also be helpful

Nem kedvelték No clear instructions as to where to find the site. We are happy with a self check in but had no information emailed to us. On arrival we found a chap who directed us to the pitch where there was an open field and tap. Walked 5 mins from there into what appears to be the hotel/wedding complex and found stable toilets and a shower. Both were really grubby and run down.
The photographs on the advert are correct but they are a 5 min walk from the pitch. The restaurant and bar were shut Monday/Tuesday but this isn’t advertised. We planned to have dinner with a nice view and were disappointed. I also can’t help but think, if a wedding were on, you’d feel uncomfortable walking through the middle of it to use facilities.
Emailed to raise a complaint and had no response. Wouldn’t recommend.

On arrival, a member of our team directed you to your pitch and also pointed out the toilet and shower facilities. Our campsite facilities are located separately from the hotel and wedding areas. All weddings take place at the top of the farm, and unless you choose to walk through the wedding gardens or into the function suite, there is no need to pass through a wedding to access the campsite facilities.

Regarding the restaurant and bar, we appreciate your comments. As a small, family-run business, we do not always have the capacity to open on quieter days, particularly Mondays and Tuesdays. We understand that this information may not currently be as clear as it could be on Pitchup, and we will review our listing to ensure guests have the correct expectations before booking.

We're also sorry to hear that you felt your complaint was not addressed. However, our terms and conditions state: *"In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site."* As no concerns were raised with our team during your stay, we were unfortunately not given the opportunity to resolve any issues while you were on site.

We value all feedback and are continually working to improve the experience for our guests. We always recommend contacting us ahead of time to book for the restaurant.

Nem kedvelték The toilets were the most disgraceful I have ever seen, you could smell the stench before you entered. I men’s toilet was booked, the floor looked like the floor of a farm yard and the showers didn’t look functional. My daughter didn't need to tell me the ladies was as disgusting just by the look on her face. The lady that welcomed me to the site was not in the office when I went back but another member of staff told me the toilets were used for the equestrian people and went to look for her. We wait approx 30mins and a man came along. I pointed out the disgusting state for the toilets and if this was the standard we couldn’t not stay, he simply said no problem. I pointed again to the state of the toilets and again he didn’t care. My daughter didnt was shocked, that they didn’t care. The pictures you see on the internet are of the wedding/function facilities. The lady told me that breakfast is £15. There was no way I could stay with my young daughter and found somewhere else near by in Bridport.

As you explained that you no longer wished to stay, we did not wish for you to remain somewhere you felt was unsuitable, which is why we said there was "no problem" with you leaving. This should not be interpreted as a lack of care, but rather our attempt to resolve the situation as quickly and amicably as possible.

We take your comments regarding the toilet and shower facilities seriously. Since your visit, the facilities have been thoroughly cleaned, and we have reviewed our cleaning procedures. As we were new to operating the campsite at the time, we recognise that we were not as well set up as we should have been, and we have since made improvements to ensure a better experience for our guests.

We would also like to clarify that the photographs on our listing are not solely of the wedding and function facilities. They accurately represent the wider venue, including the campsite surroundings and amenities available to guests.
