We liked the easy access, plenty of space to pitch up and park the car next to our tent. My son loved the football pitch and it was so funny to have the alpacas (lamas?) grazing right next to it. We were surrounded by farm animals, all kept safe, happy and clean, so no bad smells at all. The toilets and showers were cleaned daily and that was enough to keep them at a good level of cleanliness. The washing up area had hot water and was well organised. The general feel to the campsite was relaxed, quiet and happy.

Can get a bit noisy, being right next to a busy road, but still secluded, having hedges along the roadside. A little roof could be added to the washing up area in case of a rainy day. There were so many ants!

The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were great and clean.

It was fun waking up to llamas.

Quite spacious area to pitch and level ground.

Great location for Norwich, beaches and Redwings Horse Sanctuary.

Some of the campers were rather loud in the evening which is a bit annoying when trying to get children to sleep.

You can’t choose who you camp with - One resident in particular instigated a verbal argument with another camper and seemed very aggressive.

There were a few dogs that were allowed to run free on the site which can be scary for children who are wary of dogs. One dog went through the bins for about 30 mins eating scraps.

The bins were not emptied regularly enough whilst we were there which lead to people dumping bags next to them. Luckily we were not pitched near them so it wasn’t unpleasant for us.

Our tent got invaded with ants which isn’t pleasant but not much the site can do about that.

The ground was understandably dry and hard due to drought conditions, which made getting pegs in and out difficult. ruined most of my tent pegs.

There didn’t appear to be enough fire pits for all and we didn’t manage to have one.

- Helpful friendly owners
- Loads of animals for the kids to enjoy
- Good value

- Whilst there was a little road noise it didn’t bother us and well worth the trade-off in my opinion

Close to beautiful river and walking distance to excellent pub.

Clean facilities, plenty for number of pitches, friendliness of the owners and also the families we met there. Use of fire pits at site for no additional cost. Will certainly be adding to list to return to.

Quite a long walk into aylsham (though with cycle/footpaths most of the way), no swings/play things for kids

Large, modern, clean washing up area, toilets and showers. Friendly owners, farm yard to entertain youngsters. Walk to river and Kayaks for hire. Great location for expiring north and east Norfolk.

If you are bothered by road noise, there’s an A road nearby. Didn’t bother us though!

Everything we needed for a stop over, clean and well maintained facilities. Nice to see the animals especially when the alpacas came to see us.
