Campsite was noisy with road noise from nearby main thoroughfare. Party ongoing until 3:00 am. Poor lighting in general and poor signage for anything including the site vehicle exit.
When you arrived in the evening I was in the middle of sending a guest due to stay an urgent email and asked the other staff to member to check you in to avoid you having to wait. I am sorry that you felt neglected and ignored by us and did not enjoy your overnight stay.
When I came out at 10pm to lock the gates I checked that there was no music being played or loud talking, the whole of the campsite at this point was very quiet. On the front of your check-in card under your pitch number and above your name is printed the 24 hour number to call for any issues or concerns whilst you are staying.
The field you stayed on has low lighting in several areas and the lights from the washing-up sinks and showers/toilets also light up the bridge across to them. When you book on Pitch-up under the Please Note section it says, Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
As the campsite is near the main road there will be some traffic noise.

If only there was a way to stop people driving too fast, apparently the 5mph signs and a printed letter given to everyone when checking in with the top site rule saying " THE SPEED LIMIT EVERYWHERE ON THE CAMPSITE IS 5 MPH" does not stop some guests adhering to this.

The showers and toilets had 3 daily cleans, the cleaner did find it difficult to clean at times unfortunately due to the abuse he got from some campers, he has sadly left us even though he welcomed having a security guard for the shower and toilet block on the Saturday and Sunday from 7am until 7pm, cleaning the whole 12 hour shifts.

There were lots of groups.. who could be noisy and language was pretty strong but they were usually quiet by 11. If you didn't need electric though you had endless space and peace..more like wild camping there were no swings but there was lots of space for kids and many enjoyed bikes and scooters
When the cleaner or guests report blockages these are dealt with by maintenance upon being notified, the soap dispensers are checked and replaced every time they are cleaned, if they are empty in-between cleans and any other issues please notify either the office or our mobile number printed on the front of every check-in card given to guests when they arrive.
The smaller shower block have 3 showers, these are used when the campsite is quiet or when busy to supplement the larger ones. The larger block has 1 hook on the inside of the showers for towels (shampoo etc.. would have to be placed on the floor and 1 hook on the outside to hang clothes or a bag on.
We do ask guests to be considerate of others and this along with the camp site rules are on a print out handed out to everyone when checking in.
