Stayed for bank holiday werkend and i have to say this is one of the nicest well kept sites iv ever stayed on.

The facilities are top notch, cleaned every day and all bases have been covered.

The campers kitchen is a great touch with fridge, freezer, kettle,microwave and washing up facilities. Its a perfect size for the size of the site

The toilets are kept clean with amazing shower facilities.

Little touches like the herb garden, smore kits anf firewood on site are great additions

We stayed in the redwood deluxe bell tent and it just blew us away. A huge tent complete with electrics, kettle, heater. Lovely thought out decor, making it so inviting.

Complete with all the garden furntiture u would need to sit back and relax.

We will be returning again as its such a great spot and the owners are so helpful and on site to help

Any one going should stop by the ramblers retreat just 15 mins out, its a real gem.

A friendly, well run, well kept site. Dont hesitate to book! 5 star all the way 👍👍

Lovely site and very friendly helpfulmanagers. Pitches were really big. Lots of amenities on site including library and kitchen with fridge and freezer

Fire pits allowed and logs and firefighters sold really cheap. Even a pizza van on site and local Chinese delivers too

I loved the washing up station and the fact there was a fridge freezer and microwave your us to use, very handy.
The toilets and showers were nice and clean and the shower was lovely and warm in the morning.

There was bunting around our tent don’t get me wrong it looked lovely but it was a bit windy and the bunting flapped all night against the tent which didn’t help me sleep
Also I would of liked a spot higher up the camp site so I could look out over the beautiful land around us as i drank my coffee

We loved this site. It was clean and spacious as there were only 21 large sized pitches..so there was never a queue for the toilets or washing up.The wardens were very friendly.The tent we stayed in was fantastic with lots of little cosy touches so that it didn't just feel like a generic base. Loved the fact that the site was gated too as it added some security.
We plan to go back and have recommended it to friends and family.

We stayed in the squirrels drey and visited Alton Towers over the weekend. Sharon and David were lovely. The site is spotless, and well kept and the tent was ideal for us. There is a pizza van on site on fridYs until about 9pm so we didnt need to worry about cooking when we got there. The site is very peaceful and relaxed, really enjoyed our stay

Loved the whole experience from booking to leaving.
Everything was clean and well maintained including the communal areas and the grounds.
Super friendly and welcoming hosts Paul and Sharon, couldn't do enough and nothing was too much trouble. They maintained their presence and always easy to find.
Travelled as a parent with 2 older adult children and 1 five year old first time camper. We all loved it. Very conveniently located close to amenities and attractions but felt quiet and remote as the views are only of the lovely country side.
Little one loved the play area and made friends and played with other children. Very safe as entrance and exit is gated.

We had a truly wonderful week. The weather was lovely most days. The site is very well laid out and maintained by a dedicated team of wardens. The location is great as there are plenty of places to visit close by. Water and power points are located close to each pitch. All the facilities are always clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The price is great. This was our second stay and I can say with certainty we will be booking again soon.

The only thing I would suggest is maybe a second toilet block at the other end of the site.

We stayed in Redwood bell tent. Very very comfortable. Peaceful and restful with no traffic noise at night. Lots of space inside and outside the tent. It has a very comfortable bed and there's plenty of USB/13amp power sockets. Showers were great (hot and enough space to undress and dry off). The washing up hut was very clean and well maintained with kettle, fridge, freezer, sinks and a microwave. There was even a little herb garden for campsite guests to use. Nice touches around the site to decorate the boundaries and walkways. An information hut with visitor pamphlets and local information. Local takeaways deliver to the campsite. Grass and gravel borders well cared for with cascading flower baskets in full bloom. The site owners are so nice and caring. We were on a motorbike tour and forgot we needed to take our own cutlery, we joked to the owner about local shops not selling cutlery and he instantly stopped what he was doing to help with supplying what we needed. An absolutely comfortable, relaxing camp site. We would go again for sure

Nothing to dislike

We really enjoyed our stay at this campsite. We stayed in one of the pre-pitched trailer tents, which had ample space and amenities such as a kettle and seating, meaning we didn't have to take as much stuff with us. It was a bonus not having to take everything down in a thunderstorm on the day we left too!

It's a really well setup site. The pitches are well spaced out and the wildflowers in between each of them gave us some privacy as well as providing a wind break. We liked having our own firepit too.

The toilet block was always clean as was the kitchen area which had somewhere for us to freeze our ice blocks as well as other helpful appliances. The addition of the information shed, which has books available to borrow and the communal herb garden are nice touches. The motion sensor lights between the tent and the toilet block were a fab idea, and made trips in the dark really easy.

There is a small park and plenty of space to kick a football around, which kept my sons happy. The views of the surrounding countryside are fantastic and the noise from the main road is minimal.

The owners/wardens were really friendly and helpful and can provide you with firewood and smores kits if needed.

We would definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.
