Local to the site is Tattenhall which is a quiet little village about 20 minute walk with a great tea shop (Alison’s). Not open Sundays but worth a visit and there’s also a spar shop (although a specific member of staff was incredibly rude!) which I feel is totally unnecessary. The ice cream farm is about a 20 minute walk and lovely to sit out if nice along with the Marina which was also lovely for sitting out and getting a coffee/drink. Staff in there were really friendly.
All in all we will be back as the price of pitch was amazing and I feel some campsites nowadays just want to “rip you off”. This is certainly not the case here.
