Really nice campsite

Amazing host, great facilities, lovely view and good wifi!

The camp site was very clean and well maintained. Loved that there was space to play games, plus even more if going over to the multiple gaming fields. The play park was a bonus too as was unsure what it would be like as no images. It’s a lovely wooden park with a variety of climbing frames. If you have children you will be allocated next to it so if travelling with young children I’d recommend asking not be be close by as some children were in there until 10pm which is not ideal if needing yours to sleep earlier.
The only negative is where the toilets are located. It’s not too far but in the middle of the night going by yourself to the toilet it’s not ideal as it’s not in the centre of the camp like most are. It’s at the entrance where no one is around so quite lonely. Definitely recommend this campsite and ignore the comments about the showers/toliets. If you’re used to camping then they’re not too bad. Camping toilets are never going to be 5* are they!

Wi-Fi is rubbish

Great location for accessing sights of interest. Can rent fire pits and buy logs should the weather be cool. The camping fields themselves are well looked after. Secure in that there is an electronic bollard controlling the access. The WiFi connection was the strongest of all the campsites on our trip. There is no reception or small shop so it’s a drive to buy anything - not a problem provided you are aware.

This first is not a criticism but the site is very open with just basic fencing separating the different areas which means no screening between pitches. Re the toilet blocks, I would acknowledge that I never had to wait to use either a shower or toilet and they were generally clean. However, the blocks are very tired and very much need to be upgraded. I say this because the quality of the camping area is so good so there is a mismatch. The cubicles in the area that was open during our stay are tiny. There is nowhere to leave your toilet bag other than on the floor in either the shower cubicles and the main sinks area (other than a very narrow shelf). More space and more shelving would be ideal.

David was great and very friendly. Loved the ease of the campsite, with a pre sent letter with your details, pitch and what to expect. Made for an easy start to the camping trip.

The setting was beautiful and the site very clean. The owner/manager was friendly and helpful. We were allocated a big area to set up our tent, next to some trees with some natural cover. The site has a really simple check in/out system with everything done automatically. There’s lots to do in the local area, with Winchester just down the road, also several supermarkets nearby. We definitely recommend this campsite.

The site has no shop.

Lovely campsite, clean, quiet, nice loos, showers and washing up area. Kids loved the playground, we had a fantastic nights stay and will definitely be back for longer next time.
