The mud!

Nice views, convenient location, friendly staff

Very loud music from the site's ticketed live music events for pop cover bands. Finished around 11pm, and completely ruined what would otherwise be a very tranquil location.

Check-in was extremely easy.
Two fields to camp in, with the higher field being huge.
Flat pitch we could park next to.
There were a lot of varied groups but everybody kept quiet in the evening, allowing for a good night's sleep.
Firepits allowed (with wood available from the farm shop).
Simple farm shop with some basic camp supplies if you missed anything.
Cafe on site which serves hot food and has a bar (breakfast was divine).
Toilet, pot cleaning, water and shower facilities on site were clean and readily available.

But mostly the location. Camping in the Peak District is always special, but Beltonville Farm has an incredible view of Miller's Dale and is a short walk away from the River Wye.

This was a lovely site with a lovely cafe and cute shop.

The staff very helpful and views are amazing.

Will be returning and would recommend this site to anyone

It was the worst campsite experience I’ve ever had. Some of the staff were dismissive, unhelpful and rude. When asking for help I was told they “had things to do”

After paying to stay the showers cost an extra £1 per 4 minutes on top of the already high cost for the campsite for what it is. The whole site is sloping with no flat areas.

We stopped to refill our water and empty our trash and left without staying because we felt so uncomfortable with how we were treated.

Would highly recommend avoiding this spot especially if it is in any way rainy or windy. Muddy slopes and massive exposed wind through the whole site.

The refund policy is that you will not receive a refund unless the full your pitch, which to me seems overkill and not customer friendly at all.

Showers broken. Ground not flat. ( mud was inevitable after the rain we had). No ‘milk machine’ as advertised.

I booked on the same day of arrival for a campervan but we couldn’t get in the top field due to mud off the path and there was a camper van blocking the lane - the man said he’d become stuck in the mud& had had to get pulled out. He said he’d been camping on the lane for 4 days. So we found a spot next to the rubbish skips & loos in the lower field but they were having a bonfire at the farm& the smoke was coming straight up to where we’d parked. No where else was flat. So we left as it was not at all pleasant. I emailed the site to ask for a refund (I’d paid £60 for 2 nights) but they did not respond. I think it would have been better if they had changed their availability for camper vans given the state of the ground rather than take payments at that time as they must have known the top field was inaccessible and that the site was waterlogged.

The facility's were amazing, clean tidy and well kept.
