Great place with a lovely restaurant and shop, nice pub within walking distance, great views!

Not enough toilets or showers for the amount of people there, toilets didn’t flush, no hot water in the male toilets, the toilet areas were unhygenic( feminine hygiene products strewn about), ventilation was poor, Toilet locks didn’t work! It Needs a proper shower and toilet block building as this is the only thing that lets it down

The facilities were always immaculately clean, water always piping hot. The site was very quiet and 'quiet times' were stuck to. The on site shop had all the basics food wise, plus lots of stuff you might forget to take. The site is in an excellent location for walks/hikes straight for the site, we didn't use the car at all. The monsal trail is 10 minutes walk away. We had ponies and cows in the field right next to the tent

I felt the 10am check out time made for a bit of a rush and early start. I wouldn't usually select a site that charges £5 a night for dogs (after all she only drank a bit of their water - didn't use any other facilities), The site is a bit exposed, so does get breezy and like most peak sites, not everywhere is flat. Ladies toilet doors were difficult to close, (like that you had a toilet and sink in individual cubicles.

The male toilets needed cleaning in the morning, the site was very busy so this probably isn't usually the case.

The campsite is well located, between Buxton and Bakewell. It is a good base to explore the Peak District from. The signing in process was easy, on arrival at the entrance to the farm, you park up and head into the farm shop and sign in with the staff. This was a smooth process and the staff were very friendly. The farm has a one way driving system to get from the farm shop out to the two fields where you pitch up. The view from the top field was lovely. The toilet/shower and washing up facilities were in good working order - the toilets became quite wet and messy because there was a massive rain storm, so worth having decent shoes to wear to avoid getting wet feet! The hot water for washing up was very hot which made washing up easier.

Pitches are not assigned and so it is a "free-for-all" in the fields, this is a busy campsite and so by the time we arrived (around 3pm, check in starts from 1pm), spaces were limited and we had to squeeze in between two other tents. Not a criticism of the system, just worth being aware that if you can arrive earlier, you'll be able to secure a better pitch.

Also worth noting, that the produce sold in the farm shop is quite limited, so don't rely on being able to do a shop for dinner there (apart from obviously buying meat! They had bacon, burgers, sausages for sale).

The food served in the barn wasn’t good quality, burgers were served without any salad and the quality was poor which we expected to be better due to the farm location. Food in the cafe area took an hour for only some sweet potato fries and halloumi fries. The toilets also ran out of toilet roll in all cubicles and wasn’t replenished for a long while.

Awesome set up, great facilities that were kept to a high standard. Onsite shop, cafe and bar are perfect & the staff were absolutely wonderful. Will be back on a weekend when there’s live entertainment/ events :)
