A aimé How close it was to Albufeira old town (easy cycle, walk or Uber was £2.40 one way). The bar just outside the campsite, part of the Padel racket club does really nice drinks and food. The campsite swimming pool opened again early June 2026 after a refurb.

N'a pas aimé Nothing really. The HolaCamp website showed full but they were half empty. Much cheaper to book using the ACSI discount 23e a night then. Toilets and showers are very clean.

A aimé Everything. This is a wonderful place - relaxing, excellent fishing and an amazing couple running the lakes with an ever welcoming smile. Sherborne is a short drive away for anything you may need. Weymouth is about 30 minutes away

A aimé We very much enjoyed our stay at Camping L'Etang des Haizes. The pitches are spacious, the outside pool is amazing and great fun for the kids with the water slides. I understand that there is also an indoor pool but we didn't use it. The site is centrally located for touring the area and only half hour from the Normandie beaches. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk into the town with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. We spoke to many guests who return each year to this site. We felt very welcomed and will certainly be returning again.

A aimé The size of the campsite. No big clubhouse which we prefer but a couple of pubs an easy walk. The on-site cafe and shop were good. Staff very friendly. We stayed on the non electric hookup field in our camper. You can have as much space as you like. There is also fishing on site. Brean beach is very nice. You can park on the beach for £10/day. Children playing safety around the site and a nice playground.

A aimé Everything. Really well run site, welcoming, very friendly, fishing is a major draw and you won’t be disappointed with the well stocked lakes. My husband had a phone signal, I didn’t which was actually nice to get away from work emails. We will definitely return. Thank you!

N'a pas aimé Nothing to dislike, but maybe if there was a local food van that popped in one evening a week would be the icing on the cake. We noticed a Thai food van in Cerne Abbas but was to late to order anything from them.

A aimé Chose this site for location and being a smaller site

N'a pas aimé Touring field shower. The water was always cold. There was only one male and female loo each which wouldn’t be good when busy. The main shower block was very good but a long walk away.

Yes, I'm sorry our main shower block is 4 min. walk away from our non electric touring field, but we think the amazing rural views go a huge way to making up for this. Our lovely brand new family shower unit is set to a child friendly temperature for safety as the water is manually adjustable.

A aimé Everything. This is a little gem of a pop up camp site. You are literally across the road from Widemouth Bay beach, there is a lovely restaurant/bar within a few metres and the Truro to Bude bus (No 95) stops right outside so if you don’t fancy driving, you can easily get about. We walked into Bude across the field and by the canal but it’s easy to walk partly along the coastal path for about 3/4 mile then the rest is a pathway. I expected this site to be quite noisy but it was incredibly quite at night. We took our own mifi so I don’t know if they had WiFi on site.

N'a pas aimé People writing reviews complaining about the showers. This is after all a pop up site. There are clean toilets plus 2 indoor showers in both the ladies and gents loos as well as the outdoor showers. The showers were hot.
