A aimé Nice quiet overnight stop, before attending a large VW Festival in Southsea. Easy access, although the entrance tunnel half way up the track, could be tight from some of the larger/taller motorhomes. Bring your levelling clocks/blocks as the camping side of the valley meanders in all directions. Great spot, quiet, peaceful, walks nearby, proper off-grid/wild camping place.

A aimé Just back from a very hot long weekend at Maes Carafanau, and what a find ! Very well laid out, flat hard standing 'gravel' pitches not too close to each other and 'stepped' down the gentle slope into the valley. So you all get the great view and magnificent sunsets & big open skies. Extra port-a-loos laid on for the busy bank holiday weekend, showers & facilities always spotlessly clean, remarkable given the site was busy & fully booked. Onsite ice-cream 'Chilly Cow' was great treat after a hot drive across country. Great to see all the kids playing together each night in the exercise field. Even us big-uns being asked if we'd like to play rounders with the little-uns ! Plans afoot to build a permanent toilet / shower block, an onsite shop & WiFi as well. It's going to be SO popular when finished, we'll definitely be back next year. Top notch place, a lot of long-established sites could learn many things from this site. Good luck to the team...... it's how family camp sites should be.......

We are so glad you enjoyed you bank holiday weekend with us and yes we agree the site had a lovely family feel over the weekend with everyone getting to know one another.
