A aimé Geographical location is good. Pitch is flat.
There's WiFi but it was dripping a lot.
N'a pas aimé The facilities were not as advertised and fell far below basic hygiene and safety standards. While the listing stated there were toilets and showers, it did not disclose that:
Showers are communal football changing room–style, not individual cubicles. Guests must undress in communal areas and walk naked to showers separated only by mouldy curtains. In the men’s showers, you must cross through other guests’ cubicles, meaning minimal privacy. In the women’s facilities, the main door opens directly to the outside washing-up area, exposing guests, and the changing room itself forces you to walk naked to reach the showers. During my stay, a male maintenance worker was inside the women’s changing/shower area while female guests were present.
Toilets were inadequate. In the clubhouse changing rooms, there was only one ladies’ cubicle (the other was a boiler), while the men’s side had two cubicles plus one extra. A second set of two ladies’ toilets was located elsewhere. The cubicle locks were faulty: a child was able to open the door while I was inside, leaving me exposed.
Cleanliness was unacceptable, with mouldy shower curtains and unkept facilities. The showers themselves were unsafe: no temperature regulation, only push-button control. When I used one at 1 am, the water was scalding hot, peeling skin off my body. My partner also used them and came out looking like a cooked lobster.
The onsite lady was polite but dismissive. When I raised concerns, she said, “you booked through Pitchup, it says what they are,” and refused a refund. This was not a matter of preference, but unsafe, unhygienic, and misrepresented facilities.
I initially blamed myself for not reading the listing properly, but nowhere did it state that you must share showers and walk naked around others. My mother, recently diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s, came with me to Cornwall for memories. This trip was meant to be special — and the experience at this campsite ruined part of it.
Oh I nearly forgot the church! The church which will keep you awake every night. It doesn't stop ringing the bells. On 1st night it was going on for ages then BING BANG every hour. Next 2 nights it was only raining every hour since like 10 pm to the morning! like noone has a watch nowadays in this middle ages 👀 so help me Jebus.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Sylwia, thanks for your comments. We note that you liked the large flat grass pitches and geographical location but were disappointed with the site facilities. It is clearly outlined in our various websites that the campsite facilities are shared with the football club, a fact that many of our camping visitors happily accept. However, we are well aware that the facilities require updating and we hope that the brand new tarmaced access road now provides the opportunity for the management to improve both the camping and club facilities going forwards. We apologise that the boiler had to be fixed whilst you were on site but we didn’t want to leave campers with cold or no showers during a busy August period. As for the church bells, there’s very little that we can do about that. Actually many of our visitors really enjoy the quintessential English nature of our location - the nearby pubs, Mousehole harbour, St Michael’s Mount, the cricket matches and, indeed, the church bells. But, of course, we understand that everyone has different expectations. Paul & Sue Mousehole Camping 🏕️

A aimé Very clean facilities and good showers and toilet block. Washing machine, freezer, tumble dryer, inside washing up space. Great set up really.
Nice, pleasant campsite. My pitch was quite far from the toilet block but it didn't matter. It does appear that it's on the slope but where you actually pitch up it's flat and straight. I enjoyed this place.
Good location.
N'a pas aimé Nothing really.

A aimé It's so remote and away from anything it makes it perfect site for star gazing.
I liked the cows and horses on site.
Toilets were clean, showers not so much, full of sand.
Shower pressure was good and water was warm.
It was good value for money. They didn't offer much and we didn't pay much. Simple, easy, plain. Basic. It was good. Good view.
N'a pas aimé Toilet and shower block was build on the slope. You're having a wee and you feel like you slidimg down the toilet.
Showers are very very cramped, I had to open the door to comfortably dry and dress. Nowhere to put your toiletries when having a shower apart from the floor.

A aimé Pretty good campsite. Well organised. Nice facilities.
N'a pas aimé Ground isn't leveled in places and it's on the slope.
Shower - not only I paid top £ for a pitch I then have to go and pay extra for a shower. I find it quite disappointing.

A aimé Location was good especially if you planning on going to Great Yarmouth.
Everything was on site, expensive but if you don't want to leave site it's all there.
Restaurant was OK.
N'a pas aimé Oh where do I start.
Check in process at the gate is ridiculous. Not well organised. Blocking the traffic to the point that at some point you queuing at the main road.
Pitch-- if you counting on any kind of view you won't get any view. Pitches are fairly cramped. You're very close to other campers. And you won't have any view. Just another tent. No field or anything. Pitch rows are separated with hedges. Very French like.
The ground was solid. I mean, luckily we were prepared for every eventuality becuase we camped all over the world.i haven't seen such solid ground. People were bending/ breaking their pegs everywhere. They should inform you about this when booking!! You need haleavy duty pegs and plasterboard hammer!
The pool-- jesus christ and holly marry and all saints. I can only describe it as human soup. Overcrowded, water full of some weird dirt/human related particles floating about. So much chlorine that your eyes sting for another day. Just nope.
Oh I nearly forgot! They allowed people to sit around pool and take photos! Wtf?! I don't want some perv snapping photos of kids in the swimming costumes!
We booked a slot for every day of our stay, we went once and not returned.
The Pizza box place - we ordered that on one night. This was horrible. Undercooked with sour tomato sauce. Just bleh.
We went to eat at the restaurant and for most it was OK. Just don't order stake from them they can't cook a stake. I could have probably break a window with my, suppsinlgy medium stake, it was that hard. I sent my food back and got a refund. The rest of the family was happy with their food.
The CDP chemical disposal point made no sense. Very impractical. With no hose, nowhere to put anything down like a cap from your cassette, you either end up holding it or putting it down in someone else's goo. 🤮 There are bars across that disposal which is really weird. With tissue hanged around it. Just very weird set up.
It could have been organised much better.
This site seems to be very popular with the travelling community. Nothing wrong with that but some might find it difficult to deal with. We didn't have any issues.

A aimé Lovely location with beautiful view. Very helpful owner. Fairly close to locate attractions. There is a lot to do out there. Be warned! The entrance to the farm is really really steep. It messed out caravan up a bit you need good tyres and good motor to pull your caravan out. We burnt our clutch. Luckily it wasn't broken and luckily the owner came to the rescue and pulled us out otherwise I don't even want to think.
There's nothing but a field. There is access to water but no toilets or showers which was OK as we had a van.
Site doesn't allow kids which is what we needed having no kids weekend (we have 4) so perfect for peaceful night!
I think that's pretty much summarise it.
Oh one more thing you meant to arrive by 6 pm we said we will be late and managed to arrive around 11 pm.
N'a pas aimé The steep drive to the field.
