A aimé A lovely site and Sarah and Mike were great and very friendly. My husband and our Son really enjoyed fishing and had a good amount and good sizes. The toilets and showers were very clean. A nice quiet site and a lovely little walk through the woods for our dog. Nice little set up for kids too - mud kitchen, fairy garden, toys etc (though our son is too old for all that now being a teenager!) but all very well thought out. A nice washing up area with everything you need. So lovely listening to all the birds singing too. Lovely rolling hills and scenery in Suffolk. We would definitely go back although our dog doesn't seem to like camping - she's an anxious collie and doesn't like plane noise which isn't great when she can't hide from it. Our 2nd camping trip with her and she's a stressed wreck when planes go over, which is awful for her! 😩

N'a pas aimé The shower door in the bigger bathroom doesn't stay shut. It's a sliding door but being a double shower you can stand down the other end and change the direction of the shower head. I'm sure Sarah and Mike are aware, but it could be a floor issue and perhaps not level, so a difficult one to resolve. I meant to mention it while we were there but I forgot.

Thank you also for mentioning the shower door. We haven’t actually used that shower ourselves since the new screen was installed, so we weren’t aware that it wasn’t staying shut. We’ll definitely look into it and get it sorted. A aimé A really lovely site with a great setup. The pitches are great - we had a lovely private corner. The showers and toilets were really clean and the shower was nice and hot. Everything was set up perfectly for social distancing and with hand sanitisers. The owners, Stuart and Katherine were great and nothing was too much trouble. Stuart came round to check in with everyone most days which was nice and we met Katherine a couple of times. Our son took 2 of his friends and they all had a great time.Turns out Katharine was their teaching assistant for a year at primary school! Shame we had some very wet and cold weather for 1 of the days, but it didn't spoil our fun. Highly recommend this lovely site, very eco friendly using solar power to heat the showers and washing up facilities.

A aimé We had a great weekend at Brampton. Our 10 year old son had a great time playing on the zip wire and playground. He made lots of friends so he had a great time the whole weekend. The playground and zip wire was a great addition especially as it was lit up so they could play when it got dark. We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed the break. The gorgeous weather was a bonus! A great price for a quick weekend away so good value from that point of view.

N'a pas aimé Not enough toilets and showers - 1 per gender really isn't enough for the amount of people on site on a busy weekend. We weren't affected by it so much as I was up early for a shower so beat the rush but know other people had to queue when they went later in the morning. My son and husband showered at the end of the day so again didn't have to wait. The showers and toilet could do with a proper clean as they were very dirty. Not just grass on the floor which can't be helped during the day and the floors were swept, but there was dirt in other areas. Also the ceilings were peeling so not a great standard. It would also be useful to have a freezer. I've never been to a site that doesn't provide a freezer for customers to re-freeze their ice packs especially in the hot weather. We've got an electric fridge but after 2 days it starts to struggle so would have been good if we could have topped it up with frozen ice packs at least. The site owners seem a bit disorganised. There were 2 families that had booked for electric and 1 of them couldn't connect to it as there was no space for them near a point. The other family were given an extension lead which could have been a problem had it rained but luckily it didn't. They didn't seem to place people in the right places as the couple next to us didn't need electric but were near to a point as they were told to park anywhere so didn't realise. I think if I'd booked for electric and couldn't have a point, I wouldn't have been very happy.

A aimé A great site with lots of good facilities and a nice setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Lots for the kids to do with the playground and swimming pools. The outdoor pool was great but quite cold, although once in, it was bearable but you couldn't stay in too long. Unfortunately we missed out on the train as we didn't ask when they were running when we arrived and as we were setting up during the afternoon and was under the impression it would be available all weekend, our 6 year son missed out so a bit disappointing. The shop was very well stocked with everything you need but it's also within easy reach of a big retail park with supermarkets etc. The showers and toilets were clean but could do with updating.

N'a pas aimé The very noise A47 was a bit much at times especially at night with the heavy lorries and the constant noise of traffic all day. You tend to ignore it during the day once you're used to it but could be difficult getting to sleep. Also the showers and toilets are in great need of being updated/maintained. The washing up room was also a bit of a struggle as the bowls and drainers were too big for the sink and drainer so water was constantly running off the sloping surface no matter how careful you were. A mop was to hand so you can wipe it up. We had problems finding our pitch as it was very confusingly marked. We had a large family tent with a gazebo and 2 vehicles. If we had pitched where we thought it should have been there was a tree which would have been a problem. There was also a line in the middle of the pitch which would have made the other side of it too small for us. We discussed this with another camper close to us and we all agreed that it should be where we pitched but we had other campers further down clearly discussing where we'd pitched as they were chatting and pointing our way. Other caravaners arrived near to us later in the day and had a chat with us and thought where we pitched should have been the drive through. Other campers said they were just as confused by their pitches. If we were shown to our pitch when we arrived this would have been avoided. Lots of other sites we've been too, we've been taken to our pitch which means you know clearly where you're supposed to pitch and avoids any confusion. We weren't asked to move so assumed it wasn't a major problem as people could go around the other way.

A aimé We had a great weekend and loved the Site. The kids loved the zip wire and swings - couldn't keep our youngest and my step daughter off the zip wire and the camp car! Loads of space for the kids to play too. Great facilities and loved having a camp fire too. Kept us toasty and warm. The owners were very friendly and helpful and their dog was lovely and very friendly too. We'll definitely be back next year and when the weather is warmer so the kids can go in the pool! They didn't fancy it as the weather was quite chilly! The pool itself looked great though. Thanks again for a great bank holiday weekend.

N'a pas aimé Only thing was a couple of very noisy groups. One of them in particular playing very loud music and being very loud until 2 in the morning! Bit unfair with people and children trying to sleep! Don't get me wrong, I love a party and people having a good time, but it's a bit much when it gets that late. Very inconsiderate of them. Not the owner's fault at all, but perhaps it should be specified in some rules a time when people should keep the noise down. Some sites we've been on say 10pm. I don't want to add anything negative as it's such a great site with so many good things, but just felt I wanted to say something about it. I'm sure other people would have felt the same.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you so much for your kind review and we are sorry for the Noisy groups, in fact we do have a noise curfew which is 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 12 midnight Fri and Sat this being in line with the wedding function rooms next door. In future we will be issuing a small pamphlet with all the camp site information etc including curfew times to all guests on arrival. We look forward to welcoming your family back next year and we will try and arrange better weather as well. Derek & Julie

A aimé A really great site. This was our first camping trip as a family so wanted to have a "test run". The owner, Fiona was really lovely and welcoming. The pitch site was great so you weren't right on top of your neighbours. If you want to experience proper wild camping, this is the place for it! The fire pit was great too and gave it that extra proper camping feel. The shower and toilet were extremely clean. Our 5 year old son absolutely loved it and made friends with the very friendly cat, Macey. She was lovely. We will definitely visit again if we want a quick weekend away somewhere not too far away.

N'a pas aimé Nothing really but perhaps more showers and toilets would be helpful although I know they want to make improvements. The weather as it poured with rain most of the night but nothing much anyone could do about that - great British weather!
