A aimé Beautiful spot really peaceful, my son loved the pigs was sad to leave them, he absolutely loved the homemade apple juice. Winkleigh is a lovely village and the locals are very friendly

A aimé Loved the woodland area, was nice staying in a caravan, we only usually camp so it was a nice experience sleeping in beds for a change

A aimé An amazing place, with truly lovely and varied fields to pitch in, was a bank holiday and did not feel crowded, highly recommend eating in the cafe, which has great entertainment on a weekend

N'a pas aimé Only thing that could be upgraded would be the toilet facilities, not enough at busy periods and the family shower cubicles are very tired

A aimé Our 2nd time staying here in Bluebird the new owners are friendly and keeping up the high standards of the previous owners, my son had his “best ever” holiday again

A aimé The exceptional views, lovely spot

N'a pas aimé Would have given five stars but, there were a few issues namely massive groups drunkenly fighting with each other over the bank holiday until the early hours of the morning, although it became much quieter and peaceful after the weekend, another issue was closing off the toilets for cleaning at 9am every day you would think that they would choose a quieter time, there was a sign pointing us towards the family toilet but this had been “vandalised” on the weekend so we were left without toilets. I do feel that the management could be more hands on and accessible, also this was the first campsite we’ve stayed in with onsite security and as darkness settled on Saturday night it became clear why this was needed. We were also unable to wash my child properly due to the temperature of the showers which was very hot.

We're glad you appreciated the exceptional views from our campsite and our lovely location and we are pleased to hear that the remaining 5 days, and majority of your stay, was peaceful and enjoyable. We can only apologise that an unruly family upset your stay on the Bank Holiday weekend. I would politely point out for anyone reading this, that your comment about ‘massive groups drunkenly fighting’ is rather inaccurate however. One family group kicked off an argument amongst themselves, however your comment makes it sound like various groups were fighting each other, which certainly did not happen. Our park manager was available all weekend and his mobile number is prominently displayed at reception. He was back and forth to the campsite all weekend, checking everything was ok. I'm really not sure how he could be anymore 'hands-on' when he was driving around the site meeting people and checking everything was ok all weekend. He cannot meet everyone of course, however he tries his best to meet as many people as he can and to ensure everyone is enjoying their stay. The August Bank Holiday weekend is almost always our busiest weekend of the year, which can lead to it being more lively than usual. Whilst we are a quiet park the vast majority of the time, we cannot predict the behaviour of those who choose to camp at our site. We accept 7000+ visitors per year and we have security on site during the busy summer periods to ensure everyone's safety and peace of mind. We are sorry to hear that that on this occasion, it became evident to you why they are necessary, however the vast majority of our customers have a very enjoyable experience with us, as is evident from our wonderful reviews.
