A aimé Great location, beautiful surroundings, short walk to Shilley Pool. Surrounded by nature, quiet. Loved that we could buy fresh eggs.
N'a pas aimé I thought i could cope with the portaloo and shower but I couldnt. The portals stank.
Wasn't very well signposted, we drove past site.
No drinking water or washing up facilities. But bottled water was provided free of charge.

Réponse du gestionnaire : I’m very sorry to read your dislikes. I make an effort to clean the portaloos at least twice a day, unfortunately we rely on others to leave them as they would like to find them, in between. We have signs by the field gate and I also send a welcome message to those that book, that include what 3 words, along with our address. We always have a good supply of drinking water that is readily available for guests to help themselves too. The washing up facility is something that has been suggested and an idea that we shall look into, should be open again next year. Thank you for your feedback and I hope that you enjoyed most of your stay ☺️

A aimé Great location, close to the beach hut and village pub.
Small site, very chilled.
N'a pas aimé Toilets could of done with being cleaned throughout the day.
No hot water to wash up but there was a kettle to boil water so we used that.

Short walk into town, short drive to beautiful beaches.
N'a pas aimé Only 1 washing up sink, so a short wait at times.

A aimé Close proximity to Tenby and Saundersoot with a bus stop right outside the park. Pub and shop within walking distance.
Quiet beach/cove within walking distance.
Kids liked the park.
Site was well maintained.
N'a pas aimé Shower block very dated, 1 quick shower steamed the whole block up!
Site seemed quite enclosed, despite being able to pitch anywhere.
No onsite shop.

A aimé The simplicity of the site. Stargazing, countryside walks, large lake ideal for letting the kids loose on the paddle boards, lovely cafe with fab milkshakes!
N'a pas aimé Could do with more toilets and showers as bit of a wait at times with only 3 loos and 2 showers.
Lots of very loud children playing outside from 6.00am, which I felt was just a tad too early!

A aimé Great pub, amazing food, chilled vibe, play bus, farm animals, remote location. Clean campsite, undercover washing up area with hot water, plug sockets to charge phones and plug in coolboxes.
N'a pas aimé Showers were stone cold, toilets were a bit grubby at times but they were cleaned regularly.

A aimé The costal walk that runs from the back of the site through fields and along the River Gannel down to Crantock Beach, absolutely beautiful.
Site is in a stunning locaton, 20 minute walk from Crantock Village.
The gardener does a superb job at maintaining the site entrance, very pretty.
2 playparks on site for the kids to enjoy.
N'a pas aimé Touring field felt like you were staying on a traveller site.
The showers were scalding hot, our 9 and 6 year old couldn't use them, plus the family rooms were absolutely filthy.
The campers kitchen was not cleaned regularly enough, totally gross.
Outdoor pool wasn't heated, it was absolutely freezing.
Games Room was closed.

Cabane de berger Badger's Retreat (sdb attenante)
A aimé Really lovely location, so peaceful and we loved that it was adults only! We stayed in Badgers Rest, it was very cute, well equipped and really warm. It had an ensuite which was amazing as meant that we didn't have to trek across the field to use the loo, shower was nice and hot. Fantastic place for star gazing!
N'a pas aimé There was a bit of a fly issue when we arrived, my husband thinks they may have been hibernating in the window frames as when we opened the windows to get the flies out a load more appeared. Not a major issue as we got them all out and we were staying on a farm so insects etc are to be expected.

A aimé Jane has put in additional bathroom facilities this year and an extra washing up sink. There's also now fridges to store your food and freezers for your ice packs plus somewhere to charge your mobiles.
The view is incredible and it's a really lovely spacious site, very relaxed and family friendly with horses and donkeys to keep the kids entertained.
Our bell tent was very clean and nicely furnished and Jane is never far away should you need anything.
Lovely walk down the public footpath to Mullion Cove and a great base to explore the Lizard Peninsular.
N'a pas aimé My only gripe is that we requested to be pitched in adjacent bell tents as we were 2 families but this wasn't possible, this wouldn't of been an issue but on our first night we had a grumpy man in the tent between us who came out and asked us all to be quiet at 9.30pm. We all went to bed thinking he had small children sleeping but it transpired he was on his own and just a kill joy. We had 4 children across the 2 tents, cousins who had not seen seen each other for some time and aged between 4 and 9 so understandably there was a fair bit of laughter and giggling. It was just unfortunate for him that he was in the bell tent in the middle of us. Everyone else on the campsite was lovely and we made lots of new friends. We will definitely return!

A aimé Brand new furnished bell tent, stunning sea views, the farm yard animals, our lovely host Jane. The walk down to Mullion Harbour took about 10 minutes and we enjoyed sitting back and watching the storm! We also walked to the village for dinner at a local pub one evening which took about 20 minutes. The campsite is a great base from which to explore the Lizard Peninsula and we found lots of beautiful beaches and coves close by. We also ventured further afield to Porthcurno Beach and enjoyed a show at the Minnack Theatre. Our host Jane was great, nothing was too much trouble and she even left us with everything needed for a campfire which we weren't expecting. We practically had the place to ourselves and we had the most fabulous weekend despite the high winds! I would love to return next year!
N'a pas aimé Only one shower, a ladies and mens toilet and one washing up sink. Not a problem for us and we didn't have to queue for any of it, the site was lovely and quiet when we stayed. If it was busy or you had a large family it might pose a problem.

A aimé Really fantastic location to explore the surrounding area of rural Dorset. The walled gardens adjacent to the camping field were stunning and Morton Stream was about a 5 minute walk away and was great fun for our children to play and our dog to paddle in. There's a small children's play area within the walled gardens and some pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens to keep the kids entertained! We also enjoyed blackberry picking from the hedges surrounding the campsite.
The campsite itself was very basic but that is what we wanted. The pitches were large and level and you can park next to your tent if you wish. The sky was beautiful at night as no light pollution!
You are allowed to have a camp fire and there were plenty of fire pits available to use.
There is no electric hook up, but we knew this and did not require it.
N'a pas aimé The shower block, washing up facilities and toilets left a lot to be desired. Although cleaned every day they were extremely basic and there was never any hot water. It would have been nice to have a hot shower and we would have liked to have washed up with hot water. Also, the water came out in a dribble.
Be prepared for the wasps! There were so many of them but that was obviously due to it being end of summer and nothing the campsite could do about it.
The gardens were closed off on the second day off our stay due to a wedding. The wedding party was quite noisy and the very loud music went on until 11.30pm, we then had to endure the coaches and taxis collecting guests until about midnight. It would have been nice if the management had informed us this as we really wanted a basic campsite with no disturbances. Also, we were advised no music at the tents after 10pm so thought it was a bit cheeky that we then had to put up with a wedding DJ, still, our kids enjoyed it and it didn't ruin our stay, other than we would have liked to have strolled round the gardens, which were closed off to the public.
We would have liked to have tried the café but it was closed due to a power cut. The pizza evening obviously didn't take place either because of the wedding.
