A aimé Been here a couple of times now. Really nice site, very well run with good facilities. Owners very friendly and helpful. Nice walks to various nearby villages (and pubs). Doesn't seem to get overcrowded and people staying don't seem to be overly boisterous.

A aimé Nice site with friendly and helpful owner. Good facilities. Short bus ride to a village with a couple of pubs and also walkable into Hawick.

A aimé Really nicely kept site. Only small with no toilets etc. but we knew that already and it wasn't an issue. Quiet location and nice walk into Seahouses.

A aimé Adequate facilities with a pub next door, nice walk down to Derwent Reservoir.

A aimé Really nice site, well laid it with excellent facilities and really friendly. Nice walk into town along the river and lovely pub 5 minutes walk from site

A aimé Nice small and peaceful site. Basic facilities but totally adequate for the weekend. Nice offroad walk to a village for pub lunch on the Saturday. Helpful owner.

N'a pas aimé It is quite high up and exposed and we had a windy weekend so that was a bit challenging but not that big a deal.

A aimé Just spent the BH weekend here with family and friends. Really nice site, plenty of space and not too crowded. Really nice (and new I think) shower block. Very good arrangement to pay for and access fire pits and logs if you wanted to. Basic washing up facility in the camping field. Owners very helpful and quick to answer any questions. Two or three villages with pubs reachable by nice mainly offroad walks.

N'a pas aimé Nothing really. Hot water at the washing up point would be nice but it's not a big deal just for a few days. Some more phone charging points maybe in the area where the freezer is would be good.

N'a pas aimé Our pitches were behind one end of the kids football pitch so balls coming into them got pretty tedious quite quickly. If you want to avoid then choose a pitch in the main area which is away from the pitch (but also further away from the washrooms etc.) Really, that whole area should be one for playing only with no pitches up there or they put netting up to stop the balls flying over. The inn on the site is nice and the live music in there was good but the other music in there went on far too late on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Again, if you were at the far end of the main camping area then this would not have been such an issue.

We will move the goals around on the football pitch so the balls don't go towards the pitches you refer to - that's a quick and easy solution, which we could have done for you during your stay. Regarding the farm pub: We are really pleased you enjoyed - our guests really like this feature. The live music at the pub finished at 11pm on Friday (this was later than usual due to the band having technical issues), and at 10.15pm on Saturday, so the reference to it going into Sunday morning is incorrect.
