A aimé Really nice and convenient location; Took the train from Llanfair to Welshpool and walked to Powis Castle, then back and walked around Welshpool before catching the train back to Llanfair - nice day out! Went to Harlech Beach, very nice and easy to get to with none of the hassle of Barmouth.

A aimé We had an exceptional pitch (4) the outlook was very picturesque as was the entire location, a perfectly easy walk into Ellsemere to The Mere for a drink at The Boathouse. The location was perfect to visit National Trust Erddig, Llangollen Heritage Railway and the Canal & River Trust Museum.

A aimé The location of the site is handy, with only a short drive to Nantwich & Chester (the latter of which we visited and parked at Little Roodee). Access onto the site is down wide lanes which makes it easily accessible. When we visited the site was very quiet and pitches were well spaced - making it a peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway. Julie (the site owner) was welcoming and on hand if there were any questions. Electric is metered so be sure to take cash (£1 or £2 coins).

We had just had a new Wi Fi System installed when you visited us and we did have some teething problems, which we have ironed out now. For clarification, our electric hook ups are 10amps. A aimé Amazing facility, perfect hosts. Very secure and excellent welcome, thank you! Albeit a small site, the facilities appeared brand new and very well maintained, exactly what was described. Turning off the A49, getting to the site was a breeze compared with other sites where navigating lanes etc is required. The pitch was perfect, no long cable runs or trying to get hoses to reach, everything was ideally placed for connections.

A aimé Very convenient location for York we used the park and ride at Grimston Bar, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and multiple National Trust locations such as Beningbrough Hall, Treasurers House, Goddards. Facilities were decent although we use our own primarily. Although opposite the entrance our pitch was quiet and we were undisturbed, we had our hookup and were lucky to have our own water supply on this pitch too. Rocky was very attentive and looked after us during our stay.

N'a pas aimé Smaller pitch sizes, Rocky struggled to fit everyone in, the site was extremely busy (noted it was August Bank Holiday).

A aimé Two toilets and a shower all clean and well maintained as was the general area. Quiet site with scenic location, we’d planned to use the hot tub but it was too warm. John was very helpful, we had a ‘fully serviced’ pitch, hooked to a 16amp supply and a hose for fresh water, waste went to the hedge. We were on one of the hard standing pitches which put us in morning sun but in the shade for the late afternoon/evening which was great for our weekend as it was in the middle of a heat wave. The site was handily located off an A road, great access and as we were going to Silverstone it was a perfect location to drive in, on the way back we went to National Trust Canons Ashby, slight detour but worth it.

A aimé 16A supply (extra £20 but well worth it IMO) Quiet site, not much happening on site or locally, loads of NT properties reasonable drive away, we went to 6 over 4 days and Diddy Squat. Ben was very helpful even though we never ended up meeting him in the end. Very good EE signal.

A aimé Quiet and peaceful, no issues and very helpful host, perfect amount of space and nice surroundings. Considering how wet it has been and was, pitches had no pooling water etc. Electric is 10amp (as advertised) which might not suite heavy users, but was no problem for us even with 2°C temps. Thank you! :-)

A aimé Quiet and simple location, very friendly and helpful owners will make sure you have power if you've booked it, no matter where you've pitched. As stated there are no facilities, just an ELSON point.

N'a pas aimé Nothing, be aware that as stated the site is on a slope, owners will provide blocks for levelling if needed.

A aimé Beautiful location friendly and helpful hosts. Amazing views looking over this hills and valley. We were staying in The Orchard so had a bit more privacy and dedicated space to our pitch, fully serviced water and power (10A supply). Very clean facilities and indeed the whole site, although a working farm, this added to the ethos and didn’t disturb us. Site entrance was very secure with plenty of space to pull off the road when we first got there, buzzed down to our hosts and they opened the gate to let us in, meeting us at the bottom of the drive to give us details of the site, history and fob to come and go as we pleased.

A aimé Local water supply to pitch (shared between two but with a multi adapter and hose we were able to have a permanent feed to the aqua roll so perfect really!) and power, perfect really. We had the option of concrete or MOT (clean) we chose MOT and had no problems levelling. Site security was very good as were the facilities, both nice and clean. Very easy location to get to and good for Warwick and the Castle too. Deb and Mark were brilliant hosts, thank you. N'a pas aimé Nothing on the site, it was perfect. During the day there’s a fair amount of road noise from the A46 but this didn’t disturb us day or night.

A aimé Quiet, loads of walks locally and a short drive away, we went to the Malvern Hills and then to Eastnor Castle where we walked around the deer park. Pitch was fully serviced; perfect! WiFi was sound too which was good as there wasn’t much if any phone service (not a problem for a getaway).

A aimé Remote, quiet and generally a nice location, previous reviews noted how wet the site can be, this was observed but no problems were experienced. The site have been doing obvious improvements and it shows, considering location to the canal and weather we had, our feet stayed as dry as any site and so did our dog.

N'a pas aimé Potholes on driveway took some navigation but are more than passable.

A aimé Decent pitch with nice views of the ponds and open spaces. Easy access to River Severn walking left to Stourport and right to Bewdley, both easy manageable. Didn’t use the facilities but they looked very clean and hospitable.

A aimé Fully serviced pitch, considering the previous wet weather, pitch was dry and enough space for 4x4 and tourer (we didn’t put the awning up, simply no need). Site facility was excellent, one of the best we’ve experienced. We normally shower in our tourer but as the facilities were so nice and close we chose not to. We were on Cherry Hot Tub pitch and simply had everything we needed including our own toilet in the hot tub room. Adult only site with nice walking routes on site and local routes (we use All Trails).

N'a pas aimé Awareness not a dislike, our Sterling is 7.09m 23’3” and the hitch was very close to the ‘drive way’, that being said we had space to walk around the back.
