A aimé Large flat pitch, great location with amazing forest walks directly from the site. Second visit, will definitely go again.

N'a pas aimé Button to turn shower on is outside the cubicle which was a bit awkward and not obvious and was timed but water was warm enough so not really a big problem. Wouldn’t put me off going again.

A aimé Lovely quiet site. Flat pitch. Portaloo loo and shower spotlessly clean. Owner helpful and friendly. Great pub ten minute walk down the road. Definitely recommended if you want a peaceful few days close to the forest.

A aimé Liked everything: friendly welcome, site very clean and tidy, pitches are lovely and well kept. Toilets, showers and washing up facilities are great, clean and modern and love the music in the loos. Second time staying here and will be back again.

N'a pas aimé Nothing to dislike about the site. Walked to the Cock Inn using the map and directions provided by the site manager (this was a selling point to the friends who came with us for their first visit and were looking forward to the lovely food we had raved about at a typical Suffolk pub) but after a lovely 35 minute woodland walk we arrived at the pub, ordered our drinks and then were told they were not serving food. Our bad as we hadn’t called ahead and hadn’t packed food as we planned to eat out. Young women behind the bar was very apologetic. We managed to get an Uber back to the site and ordered a takeaway delivery. Didn’t spoil our experience at all but will remember to call the pub before we set off next time.

A aimé Really liked the site, not too busy with loads of space in between pitches. Toilets/showers clean and modern. Pub was lovely , great food and great beer and helpful friendly staff

N'a pas aimé 10am checkout was a little early especially as there was nothing to clear up etc before the next 12pm arrival.

A aimé Good communication, arrival instructions sent by email with site map so finding pitch and setting up was straightforward. Manager Nicki arrived shortly after to check me in, she was helpful and friendly. I live quite locally so know the area, there is lots to do in Brightlingsea, plenty of places to eat and drink, close to the beach and a boating lake. Best crabbing spot in North Essex ! Lovely quiet clean site with toilets, showers and laundry room. I have used this site a few times over the past 10 years and the new management is a definite improvement.

A aimé Pitch was private, quiet and level. Facilities were very good, nice toilet block with clean loos and hot showers. Loved the background music ! Staff really welcoming, friendly and helpful. We walked to the dog friendly Cock Inn for a really nice and well priced meal, 40 mins through beautiful woodland and quiet lanes with the help of the directions and map available in reception. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back. Thank you for a very chilled stay Polstead Country Park.
