A aimé the pod was well equipped. table, 2 chaurs, campbeds, kettle and tea/coffee. Luxury! close to the lake and a short walk to coniston village.

N'a pas aimé Very little. Given the lack of rapid EV chargers in the area and the very few chargers at all in Langdale, Eskdale and the Duddon valley, one on site would be handy to enable overnight charging ready for the next day.

A aimé a great pop up site. spacious and decent washing facilities. once there no need to use the car with loads of walking options on the doorstep. great pub for a drink less than 10 mins walk. be aware though it does restuarant quality food at equivalent prices. very expensjve. well be back next summer

A aimé A generally really good site. pitch sizes are adequate. well maintained with excellent toilet facilities and play area lots of children so be prepared for noise and plenty playing. Lots to do locally without travelling far. good shop.

N'a pas aimé The management needs to review their waste management plan. When we arrived on Monday the refuse areas were already overflowing. Overnight, cats and foxes ratched through the rubbish bags, although staff cleared this up each day. The bins were finally emptied about 6.30am on thursday morning. In mid summer with a full site, once a week is not frequent enough and encourages vermin. wifi wouldnt connect.

A aimé the pitch was good. excellent toilet washup facilities and general ameneties. weve been sevetal times and never disappoints.

N'a pas aimé major issuea with no wifi but out jf the control of the site management. for me inconveniant rather than crucial. the lack of EV charging facilities is a major omission. nearest charging is kirkcudbright and given the number if ev cars and the ease of knstallation it should be available

A aimé fell end is great. spacious camping pods, excellent facilities and great staff. swimming pool, bar area and wash areas are brilliant. my daughter who is 9 loves it but finds the playpark a bit limited.

N'a pas aimé more attention to detail. a picnic table at the pod would be a cheap and easy addition. we have used many places and these are a usual feature. we cook for ourselves and this would make food prep and eating much better. taps in the washing up room are all loose - 5 minutes with a spanner. nothing big but shows a little care. a waste bin the washng up room - same point and proper curtain rails in the pod rather than rails sittjng in cuphooks that fall off..

A aimé the setting and peace and quiet. the cabins are unique and when the stove is lit warm abd cosy on a autumn evening. fairly basic facilities so don't expect fancy toilet blocks and showers.

N'a pas aimé there is no way of charging a phone or other device which is really inconvenient.

A aimé a great quiet site. toilet blocks spotless.

N'a pas aimé would be good to have a final point for children like a play park. but that's maybe not the market they are aiming for. no big issue though.

A aimé Play Park Cleanliness of toilet and shower facilities. Camping pitches are excellent - flat and excellent ground of easy pitching and pegging.

N'a pas aimé It would have been handy, but not vital to have a shop on site. We did miss the lack of a leisure centre with swimming pool. There is no where is the Penrith area where a swimming pool is easily available. As far as I can see, no holiday park in the area has one. Penrith Leisure Centre has very limited 'public' swimming sessions and not at convenient times. There are a number of outdoor pools, but they are very restricted opening hours and not available in the winter for obvious reasons. Centre Parcs is not open to non-residents. Although a significant investment, such a facility would set Lowther Holiday Park apart from every other similar place in the whole North Lakes and Eden Valley area, would be an additional enticement for people to 'buy' a holiday home there and would be a positive addition to the local community as well which again, doesn't really have a 'private' leisure facility.

A aimé decent pitches and great leisure pool. toilet facilities well maintained. soft play area was good too.

N'a pas aimé fir a family orientated site with lots of young children around my daughter was really disappointed by the outdoor play facilities and compared to other places I agree. all the amusement machines that eat money uf you let children use them. Southerness is not Blackpool promenade. w ysed it as a one night change of scene and a wee treat. wouldn't choose it for a proper holiday

A aimé I was with my 8 year old daughter. The site is really quiet. the pod is great - very well set up and well appointed. The play park is just across the lane and the toilet facilities are fine for the small number of people there. There was only a couple in a campervan that night. A big supply of logs provided so I only needed to gather some kindling and a firelighters so Thalia loved having a fire and melting marshmallows! The previous week at another site, I had to buy the logs! Lots of power sockets so charging devices is no issue and although it didn't rain, the shelter at the front of the pod would have been great for keeping dry when cooking if it had been wet. Staff were very welcoming and pleased to see us.

N'a pas aimé No dislikes as such - a brush and dustpan would have been handy to sweep the floor though.

A aimé the railway cabins are great. really cknfortable and great value. brilliant views and really peaceful. perfect for people who camp in the summer but want a bit more shelter early in the year.

N'a pas aimé the toilet/shower facilities etc. are basic. fine for me but not good for families with younger children. cabins could do with a power socket or usb port to charge devices. that would make a real difference for minimal outlay.

A aimé a good spacious tent pitch. Great play park and facilities. Close proximity to a really clean and safe beach. ideal place for children.

N'a pas aimé the prices in the club for food really add up so it's a 'treat' option. a take away food van would be a great addition to the options for eating rather than driving off site.

A aimé quiet and very well maintained. host was great and very accommodating. facilities were very good.

N'a pas aimé it would be good to have the children's play park in one place. hopefully there'll be an ev charging point there soon so we can come again and bring the car.
