The staff in the pub were lovely and very helpful. Child friendly location with the playground made it great fun for the kids.

The pitches were a great size with enough room for large tents, camping chairs set out and we had the additional space for a car to park alongside our camper and awning.

There is no direct route to the lake which lead to a short drive with the kids for a walk around. Although it’s not part of the direct land the opportunity for a walk was not available without a drive due to the busy road.

We stayed for two nights over the summer holidays, with 6 kids between us we were keen to ensure they did not cause a nuisance to other campers. However, there were a number of very noisy campers - particularly adults drinking and playing music past 11pm. A little bit of monitoring would have been helpful but maybe we were just unlucky on that particular night.

As a location it was just what we needed, easy to book in pub and shown to pitch… when busy would recommend bringing food or booking in advance, local shop a very decent walk away and told pub fully booked when we got there..

It was very busy but that was the season.. only comment is that it could do with an amenities upgrade if regularly busy, site packed and five in line for the shower.. given hot weather.. it might just be as fully booked.. they worked.. we were happy with that..

The site was right to the pub and tue staff were friendly and helpful

There was only 1 toilet in the ladies and the campsite was full. It was totally inadequate for the number of people on site. When the pub was open campers could access the toilets in the building.

Woeful lack of facilities for number of pitches…. Rent some portaloos if nothing else

A tidy grassed area with space to relax.
The pub and food was very good.

We arrived early to be welcomed in.
the place was lovely they even had the pub as well which done lovely food the hole place was worth travelling down from where we live in john o groats i would 100% stay longer next time thank for having us

Cosy but could use a little tlc.

Nothing. An abandoned site with no-one there. Telephone number displayed went through to an answering machine which announced the site had changed owners several months previously and no messages would be responded to.
