Friendly owner.
Local to cheddar, wookey hole and western super mare, also only an hours drive to Longleat.
I think it’s an adult only site to.

Very peaceful clean site. Adults only site. Not busy at this time of year Although only two showers they were clean and building new. 20p for showers but said 50p on site so didn’t have any. But Tom on reception has plenty although not sure why we had to pay for them.

Although pub nothing to do with site it would have been nice for this to be open.
No Wi-Fi and very poor signal on site.

Lists of things not to do as long as your arm! Silly rules like shoes off at the door to the toilet/showers! I'm not standing in bare feet at the toilet! Presented with a packed rule sheet on arrival but no other information. Silly fiddly combination padlock arrangement to get in or out.

It was a really well kept site. Toilets and showers were really clean, showers hot and pitches nice.
Area very quiet.
Another dog poo’d outside our pitch one morning and the owner clearly does site checks as it was gone before we had chance to mention it.

If I was being really
picky the ladies didn’t have soap in them! Oh and 20p for a shower was a bit frustrating but shower was hot and clean. Only thing I’d say to others the timer starts ticking down instantly so pop coins in when undressed and wrapped in a towel.

The size of the campsite was a good size for camping and all pitches not too far from the shower/toilet block. Site is kept clean and rubbish free. Site manager was friendly and welcoming.

Was a little disappointed on arrival to find we needed a stash of 20 p's to have a shower. Warm water not available at the sink in disabled toilet area unless tap is put on full pelt, which then soaks floor and feet. Couldn't park the car next to our tent to store those extra bits and pieces you MIGHT need while camping so had to unload everything in the tent taking up spare living space. If your not a doggy lover this place wouldn't be good because owners appeared to beable to let their pets run free around the campsite. No O2 mobile signal on the site.

A lovely quiet pitch with everything you need- washing machine/tumble dryer/fridge/freezer/washing up facilities/ showers/washing basins/toilets/waste water facilities.
A bus stop close to the site with buses to Cheddar - 2 miles away and Wells 5 miles away. Only 15 miles from Western Super Mare.

The only downside to this site is that The Rodney Stoke Pub adjacent to the site has been closed for 7 months yet is still advertised as open on Google - which meant some people booked the site thinking there was a Pub available for food and drinks. Which is disappointing because the nearest pub / cooked food available is a long walk .

Great showers and toilet block.
Nice hot showers. 20p 5 mins.
Tom see’s you in and leaves you to choose a pitch.
Very handy for Cheddar gorge and Wookey Hole.
