Small and quiet site, nicely kept pitches, modern toilet and shower block, lovely shrubs and trees, bird song, great pub next to site, with lovely food, good location.

Long list of rules, some of which were a bit odd, 20p coins needed for showers, we had no coins, long term residents had dogs off lead at times despite short lead requirement rules, next to kids play area of pub, random kid playing football on site which was no problem but strange on an adult only site, main gate post really loose and needs attention.

Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The location is stunning, with a peaceful atmosphere and spotless, well-maintained toilet and shower facilities. The pub next to the site was a real highlight—serving an incredible roast dinner and even offering breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend!

Tidiness of site, immaculate shower and toilet areas

Friendly, peaceful and relaxed little campsite in a very pleasant location and attached to a great pub with tasty food and really welcoming staff.

The gate to the site is awkward to manhandle, and I could have done with knowing about the flip-flops only rule in the toilet/shower block before getting to the site as I only had shoes/boots with me, but I can totally appreciate why as the block was really nicely refurbised very recently. No Wifi, which nowadays is really a bit of a must for a lot of people.

The site was small with hedges down the middle for extra privacy. Close to pub that served excellent food and staff very friendly. The toilets and showers were extremely clean and tidy.

Utility block was very clean/well maintained.
Washing machine, dryer, fridge all available at a small cost.
Very friendly staff.
Right on site there is a pub that serves excellent food and the staff there were lovely.
The viewpoint from the accommodation is simply beautiful.
Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay.

The site is easy to get to and to access. Lovely views across to the levels and the ability to walk straight up into the Mendip hills. Adjacent pub. Warm clean facilities. Friendly and accommodating site owner.

Ladies showers had very little pressure.

Lovely camp site pub was beautiful a food was amazing shower facilities were nice an so warm a clean a bonus of utility room was added bonus for washing up. Site was well looked after and was so nice that it was adult only.

There was no WiFi which was a shame as it’s handy for looking for what’s around the area

We stayed on this site for 3 nights and found it to be really peaceful, it's probably one of the quietest sites we've stayed on. It also seemed in a very sheltered position, given the wet and windy weather we experienced during our stay- this was a bonus . The site is behind a pub and set well back from the road. We ate in the pub and had a delicious meal there , the service was excellent and it seemed very good value. The site was in a good location for travelling to Cheddar Gorge and Wells Cathedral.
The washing up / laundry room was well equipped, clean and warm.
The modern shower block was also warm and very clean.

The water pressure in the shower was virtually non existent making it very hard to use.
The main gate was hard to open and close.
The pitches were narrow and we had to walk on the mud and grass to get in and out of our motorhome .
