Really friendly site owners, helped us find a great spot - I used my rooftop tent on this occasion as they put us on one of their new hard-standing pitches. I'd have happily used a ground tent though. The location is gorgeous with 360 views and perfectly situated for fell running / hill walking trips (and the local pub of course). My mobile signal (o2) is terrible in the valley, but the sites free wifi worked perfectly and could get it up the field in the tent too.

The site was large, great selection of food in the on site cafe and tasty. The cakes are ace. Staff pleasant. Stayed one night in a roof tent. No issues.

Beautiful Peak District site with amazing views. Perfect location for the Pennine Way and Kinder Scout, fantastic facilities and the food at The Fold (on site)is simply amazing. Start your hike and finish your hike from the site, lovely pub a stone’s throw away…. Just perfect!

What’s not to like?

Fantastic location and fabulous cafe

I was informed that work was being conducted but not only was it noisy it caused lots of mud.
The shower/toilet area needs cleaning and painting

Very friendly staff, very easy check in, Wifi worked great. Very close to amenities, the Old Nags Head pub was great.

Site was very bumpy and muddy, but they were doing renovations to the tracks etc and we did go in the off season so understandable.

Has great cafe, bar, restaurant and pub by the entrance. All fantastic.

Couldn't stay for longer

Everything was perfect the location is amazing, on site cafe/pub was great with brilliant food, facilities and staff. This is a great place to stay and we will definitely be back this year….can’t wait!

Nothing at all.

Really lovely campsite seemingly popular with campervans (no motorhomes when we were there). Neighbours were friendly! Perfect location for Peak District walks, metres from a cosy pub with a good selection of hot food, and a small shop and bar on-site too. Toilet block was clean and warm, nappy change table and bin in ladies, and showers were warm. Clean pot washing area with hot water.

Only comment would be why there were only nappy changing facilities in the ladies but not the men's?

Excellent facilities and perfectly situated in a beautiful spot, ideal for walking. Staff member who met me on arrival was really helpful and informative
