The layout of the site was fantastic! The pitches surrounded by tall grass created a lovely sense of atmosphere and privacy, and the smaller winding paths mown through the grass were wonderful for kids to explore. The fact that there is an emergency phone charging point and that they offer to freeze ice packs for you is a great bonus. And at last: a warm and powerful shower on a campsite! The fact that the owners could have chosen to squeeze many more pitches in, but have chosen not to for the sake of a creating a much more beautiful 'hideaway' camping experience, is a great credit to them. The toilets, showers and washing up area were smart and clean, and the area as a whole is great to explore. Bring a bike, and you're just a handful of minutes from the beach, with miles of lovely lanes to explore. We would definitely come back.

The family who run the site were so welcoming and friendly. The site is small and amazing you feel like your in your own space. Was so relaxing.
Toilets and showers were very clean and well maintained. Definitely booking again for next year .

Really lovely site with nicely arranged pitches. Great location with beach and shops very close. Good facilities. Very friendly and helpful owner.

There were a few problems with the showers. They are really nice and very clean and powerful but they kept turning off or going very very hot which was concerning with a young child. To be fair though the owner was working hard to fix this while we were there.
I found there was quite a lot of noise from the road and aircraft so it wasn't as peaceful as I expected.

Really clean and well presented toilets and shower facilities, washing facilities.. was initially dubious about the long grass between the pitch’s but actually they were great as it felt very private in your own space. Wonders were fab and friendly and were round every day to check you were ok, again I was a bit dubious as I didn’t want people ‘checking up’ on us.. but they were really lovely and able to point us in the direction of stuff to do with the kids.. felt very welcome.

Facilities were great; perfect for the size of the site. Sites were beautifully maintained.
Owners were always around to answer questions, to freeze ice-blocks, and help when needed.
Lovely local farm came and ran a couple of bbqs for us whilst we were there and the ice cream van even came a couple of times.
Perfect location for access to the beach and to local activities.

Shame we couldn’t have a fire pit but that was because we were there during a drought and ‘safety first’ but was literally the only downside.

Well maintained toilets, showers and washing up area. Pitches all beautiful and loved that we were surrounded by tall grass. Safety and information signs well displayed. Owner very welcoming. Easy drive to other places such as sheringham and cromer. Peaceful

EVERYTHING! Such a great little site, spotlessly clean facilities, friendly owners, great additions for this year of phone charging bank and offering to re-freeze ice blocks, also weekly camp bbq’s which you can be involved in if desired. We love it here.

Loved it!
The aesthetics of the site, beautiful tall hay which gives it a wild and natural look, individual spacious pitches.
Clean showers and toilets, simple but they serve the purpose and love the concept.
Loved that there are recycling rubbish facilities and as well the station to charge the phones runs on renewable energy.
Loved the design of the washing up sink facilities.
You need to go with a wild mindset for camping and no major commodities (like hair dryer etc) Really loved this, makes you appreciate basic things when you return home that we take for granted.
Easy access to the village and the beach within walking distance, is a lovely walk. Lovely fish and chips restaurant in the beach with a nice view and reasonable prices, also the whippy in the beach was lovely.
Notice board has plenty of info of local events and close by amenities.
Staff super friendly and helpful, Ali is very welcoming and loves making everyone feel well on site. I was hesitant initially going to a place with no reception but he is about several times in the day and is easily reachable if anything needed.
Nice touch that discovered when I arrived handy for next time : if you want your ice packs re-frozen you can give them to Ali, so if you have 2 sets then you could always have your cooler box cold....and also you can do a pre order of local basic butcher products or eggs that gets delivered to you on site in the evening, really nice touch.
Kids were able to make friends and play as kids because there is no other entertainment, take outdoor games or board games (take spare balls as occasionally difficult to find in the tall grass). Kids loved the place as well.
Would love to stay again.

Not having a bin in the washing up sink area, so make sure you pre-clean your dishes well before heading for the washing or take a small container so you can leave the sink clean for others from bits of food.
Not a long walk to toilets if you are at the far end in the day but at night would have been nice that facilities area was placed within the middle area of the campsite,...but this is just been picky to be honest.

(this is not about the site but area, if staying for a long stay and weather wet that you might need to wash kids clothes there are no laundry facilities in the village....the launderette in cromer is not self service and might not be able to do on the day, sheringham has self service from 3pm, not sure if north walsham has launderette, as well be an early bird as many shops etc might close as early as 1 pm or 3pm but there are some that open till later)
