Very peaceful with plenty of room between the pitches that were mown into the tall grass. We’ve been camping on and off for around 30 years and can honestly say it’s the nicest site I’ve ever been to. Facilities were spotless and the hosts very friendly and welcoming. An experience close to wild camping (we slept with our tailgate open to watch the stars and sunrise) but with the advantage of a warm shower in the morning!

Also, to be fair it is not a very busy road at all, and virtually no traffic at night that I noticed, and the site has provided a safe pedestrian route towards the town / bridleways / beach). When the wind blows in a certain direction there is very occasionally a bit of a countryside odour but it is not bad or overwhelming, just part of being in the countryside and I noticed it on part of one day out of five. Overall a struggle to find any negatives and even those are marginal to be honest.

The location was perfect for us to access Cromer (20 mins) and the village of mundesley itself has a beautiful setting with a lovely beach. We walked into the village, which partly involved traipsing the edge of a crop field which felt like an exciting adventure trail for the children. But, with small children in tow adding effort to the somewhat hilly walk, we got the car to return back and found that there was plenty of places to park in the village too. We had a very nice fish and chips at The Catch, attached to the Ship Inn with beautiful cliff top views of the sea.
We loved our stay, and would stay again. We remarked that other visible campsites we passed in the same region didn’t look half as nice as ours!
