Friendly, easy-going staff. Hobbit pods were a great alternative to bringing a tent or booking a cheap hotel. Surrounding grounds were nice. Toilets/showers were very clean.

Because there were electric lights, we assumed the Hobbit pods would have outlets. Make sure you bring portable chargers! There are also no mirrors, pillows or bed linens in the pods, but we brought sleeping bags. WiFi only accessible when standing in a specific spot near the WiFi code.

We stayed in the cabin and it was lovely and quiet. It was dry and warm even in the rain. The toilet and washing up area for the site were kept clean and tidy our whole stay. It was also really nice seeing the peafowl around.

Would not recommend for anyone unable to walk far as you can not park next to cabin. This was not a problem for myself or my children. We did struggle to get ahold of the owner when we first arrived but was told they were at a funeral so couldn't be helped. Also do not recommend for anyone who can't handle country roads.

Beautiful setting, lovely walks onto Dartmoor, good size pod, friendly hosts, private, beds comfy and useful set of patio furniture for eating outside. Also helpful to have an electric ceiling light in the pod with switch but note there are no power sockets in there.

Not a huge issue for us but no WiFi in the pod itself but could get it up at the shower block.

Beautiful location, peaceful and scenic. This is what camping should be. A young fox drank from our dog's water bowl each night. Toilets and showers were always clean.

Nestling right on the edge of Dartmoor, this campsite was peaceful and quiet, with fantastic views onto the moor, loads of space and genuinely fantastic showers. I was able to park next to my tent but moved it down to the parking overnight on Friday as I had a very early start the next morning and didn’t want to disturb anyone by starting my car at silly o’clock. The middle of the large camping field is gently sloping and the best and flattest areas are around the edges so no one tends to camp in the middle, which helps with the feeling of space. Friendly host who came for a chat on the Saturday evening and who is available on her mobile when she is working elsewhere on the farm. Will definitely return.

Not a lot to be honest!

We didn’t even stay one night out of a 2 night break. Struggling to get a refund!

* Your advert clearly states that there is parking along side each unit. This is not true as we had to park in the car park and walk down to the unit, this was an issue as my disabled mother was with us and she is unable to walk that distance on uneven paths. So we emptied the car into the unit and then had to drive my mother back home (nearly a 4 hour round trip) you can imagine how unhappy the children were.

We arrived back to the accommodation to find the following issues….

* your advert states a certain amount of male and female showers, I do not feel a shower curtain is adequate to separate male and female showers, especially with two young girls in the party.

* very messy grounds, unsure if it meets fire regulations ect.

* no hand soap provided in the toilets- this may sound like a trivial problem but after reading previous reviews this is an ongoing issue so my concern is how many people have used the toilets have been unable to wash their hands properly and then touched door handles, taps ect

* the unit itself was in need of a deep clean, dirty floors , walls, sofa all needed to be sweeped and cleaned .

* the door key it was so rusty I could not remove it to lock the door, which as a parent I was uncomfortable to leave the door unlocked overnight with my children present.

* There is no ladder to get up to the top bunkbed ? Very confused!

* mattresses all dirty, stained, and very unhygienic, I’m quite frankly there was not a chance in hell me or my family was going to sleep on them.
