Great site the with clean and tidy shower rooms and toilets. Also great little place to get drinks and snacks.

Nothing to dislike

The site it's self is very friendly toilets were clean. There is also a park for the children to play and a Caffe and bar on site.

No one was on the desk when we arrived so we rang the number. We were directed by phone how to get to our cabin and where the key would be. We were not given any other instructions on where showers toilets kitchen were etc. I'd have liked to physically spoken to someone face to face, so more information could be given.

The site was well maintained and very spacious.
The laid-back feel.

Toilets and showers available
Pitches are easily distinguishable

Lots of pitches crammed in, our cars were continuously hit by another group camped close to us who were playing cricket. This is not their fault, we expect people to have fun and play games whilst away camping but because we were so tightly packed in, it was unavoidable and made their game less enjoyable and had us on edge.

Toilets were not well cleaned or restocked with toilet roll during our stay (Friday evening- Sunday morning).

Lack of human contact - we arrived and had to call a number to find our pitch, no information about the running of the site was shared with us which lead to many let downs.
For example we went to hire a BBQ and fire pit on the first evening and buy some fire wood, by chance we decided to do this in the hour slot where one man was around to provide these. He told us they don’t hire out BBQs and why would they do that for such a huge site (it stated that they did this on the website we booked through), I showed him the site and he said pitch up put whatever they want on their site and they have no control over it, he was extremely rude.
So we had no BBQ for the first night. The fire pits were £15 a night and fire wood £7 for 7 logs.
The next evening we went to purchase more fire wood, it was 6:58pm, we called the number on the shed, the call was engaged. We tried again at 7pm he answered and said wood is only sold between 6-7pm (we were never told this and just happened to turn up at the right time the day before) and that he was no longer on site to sell us wood, despite it being 7pm, we was very passive aggressive said he’d check his phone for a call and because he hadn’t missed one we must have been lying. So the first night, no BBQ, second night, no fire.
I can understand this was partially our fault however the man who worked at the site (the only worker we saw there the whole weekend) was extremely rude, degrading and ignorant, I can’t help but think because we were a group of girls he thought he could get away with it. Because of this man alone, we would never return to this site.

Really good location for what we wanted, good facilities, toilets and showers were clean. The ground was soft and pitch was big and level! Staff were friendly and welcoming!
Only 9/10 because nothing is perfect!

Signal was abit hit and miss, bins were full but that’s out of the wardens control!
