I was travelling with my dog and we had a lot of space for ourselves. Nice walking route along the lake for me and the dog, with access directly from the campsite. Toilets and showers exceptionally clean. Very close to the beautiful Castle Howard. Worth noting that the internet reception was almost nonexistent but that's not necessarily a disadvantage!

Views were so nice on the campsite, even having our campervan back doors open we had some nice views of the bank and the lake. We did a great walk - with map provided (although if you want to use maps on your phone the signal in their area is spot on to be honest) - right from the site too so never moved our van and provided a fab afternoon out. Long way round walk to castle Howard, explored the grounds then took the short route back to site (not far at all if you don’t want to go a scenic route!)
Fish and chip van on a Friday night was a real treat to find out about on arrival - so yummy too!
We absolutely loved it here and spoke to some super nice other campers. We definitely plan on coming back and wish we could’ve stayed longer !N'a pas aimé : –
