L'accueil est sympathique même si le campeur n'est pas parfaitement à l'aise avec l'anglais.N'a pas aimé : Notre emplacement était juste à côté de l'accès à la promenade le long du lac et presque tous les autres campeurs marchaient juste à côté de nous pour y aller.
Les deux emplacements proche de cette barrière d'accès gagneraient en valeur avec une simple " haie " qui délimiterait un chemin vers le lac.

However, the cafe in Castle Howard's courtyard is just over one mile away; it is accesible to passers-by and parking is free. Our small shop in reception has a vairety of cold, soft and alcoholic drinks, some essentials and some luxuries; it is open from 9.00 till 5.00 daily and there are also occasional 'pop up' cafes in Coneysthorpe in the village hall.

Thanks Kirstie. It is upsetting to know that some of our guests had no regard for the rules of the site. New signs have now been displayed about keeping dogs on a lead and our team will patrol when possible to ensure they are adhered to.
Every year the crows feature in guest reviews but with so many large and beautiful trees in our rural setting this is to be expected. I'm sure you can appreciate that in bygone days, pre electricity, the dawn chorus was the alarm clock for everyone to get up and make the most of the daylight hours but because of technology our sleep patterns have changed whilst the natural world still follows the eternal patterns of the sun and the seasons. Some guests really enjoy the 'dawn chorus experience' whilst others suggest ear plugs; a sensible suggestion for light sleepers when camping.
