A lovely site ,nice and quiet

Toilet block is in need of a major up date.
Taps would not go off
Waste stuck and nearly had a flood over the top of the basin.
The hand driers were totally ineffective and did not dry the hands
The showers were not well enough ventilated as everything was damp after use
One of the basins was loose.
The cleanliness could of been better

Everything is absolutely brilliant here the pitches are well kept and good distance apart. The toilet and showers very well maintained and clean. The views on the lake beautiful. Geese swans and ducks fantastic waddling into the grounds

Nothing to dislike marvellous place to stay

The site was lovely, fab location next to the lake and trees. Good clean amenities.

Very noisy large group. About 6 tents and 6 cars. Would come again but not in school holidays if you like peace and quiet.

Everything! Lovely place to stay and chill out. The site is very clean and tidy, good facilities and friendly staff. We took our dog, this is the second time we have stayed.

Honestly, there was nothing we liked about the site. We were booked for 2 nights but only stayed one night.

Smelly toilets, uneven pitch, uncut and dead grass area which was muddy, noisy campers and dogs, no internet, tents to close together with fire burning(fire risk), cars parked all of grass area, cars driving to fast where children were playing, pitches too close together and no wardens to be seen. We've stayed at a lot of caravan sites but this is the worst we've stayed at.

Good facilites, easy to pitch up. Not too big a site. Not far to castle howard. Nice walk along the lake. Receptionist managed to put us together as we weren't able to prior to arrival, very amenable.

No warden, large group up being loud until gone midnight. No mention when checking in about lights out/noise times etc which may have helped. No WiFi. No map of the site available to hand. No mention of dog friendly open area but it alludes to this on the website.

Was lovely view ashame you couldn’t get right around the lake

There wasn’t much on the site for kids maybe consider a little play area for them and make the lake into a more of a fishable maybe a peg or two

Location and fantastic Yorkshire moors

No wifi and no phone signal poor standard in shower block shower cubicles very cramped water from adjoining cubicles flows through your cubicle so you are standing in another persons shower water very unpleasant

We got a friendly and informative welcome which gave us clear information about the site and surrounding area. The campsite was clean and with plenty of space on pitches plus a large area where people were able to play games such as frisbee, badminton and football. The toilets and showers were clean with warm showers and relatively close. We were there for the four teenage boys to fish. The lake was close and with room to walk around past those fishing. It was a beautiful scene and although they didn’t catch anything- it was first time for three of them - they had a brilliant time. It is a peaceful site and even those playing games didn’t affect this. Others staying were friendly. We hope to return next year.
