For such a beautiful castle they have let go of the lake …. We booked because my husband wanted to fish but jot chance …. Too much vegetation and actually no fish …. Take the fishing pond off your website as there is NO fishing there …, I’ll never come back !

It is usually much more peaceful outside of the school holidays. Fishing is an ancillary offering and not designed for the serious fisherman but we do often have guests pull out pike or carp. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and even added a extra dog who came last minute. Easy to navigate with beautiful views of the lake and castle howard. Plenty of places to walk the dogs. My child was able to go to toilets/showers on his own as they were in eye view, one of the nicest camp sites we have stayed at. Whole family including 5 adults 1 child and two dogs enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again

Thursday, Friday were not bad but it got Very busy Saturday and only 5 women toilets/showers on the whole camp meaning people were queuing out the toilets and washing up room.
Showers were very hot, one night the children couldn’t use them (no temp gage)
