What a lovely welcome from Sue. We were given a choice of hardstanding pitches which were more than adequate in length and width. Site is a gentle 20 minute walk into Shrewsbury.
The individual showers in porta cabins were hot and plentiful, none of this holding the button in to get continuous hot water.
The dogs can be exercised on site or swim in the river.

In the Summer as its a large site it could get very busy with limited shower facilities

The site is situated on the outskirts of Shrewsbury and was very peaceful during our stay yet only a 15 minute walk into town where there is a good choice of places to eat and drink. . The small shower/toilet block was warm and very clean with "proper" showers which did not need a button pressing every thirty seconds to keep a flow of water and temperature could be adjusted to suit. The site staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our hardstanding was level and power and water were all close by.

The showground is a charity and in parts is looking a little tired. I am sure this has been caused to some extent by flooding during recent years but the site staff are trying very hard to provide a service for visitors and the local community.

Well maintained pitch , on arrival we were taken to the area where we was going to stay and could choose which pitch we would like, due to it being low season. The welcome was friendly and given information were things where. The site is a good base ,has it’s a lovely walk into Shrewsbury. Would definitely recommend….

We liked everything about this lovely, peaceful site. The manager was friendly and helpful, she advised the path along the river went right into the town, unfortunately it was closed due to flooding. We were able to walk into the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, although I needed to get a taxi back, as my disability didn't allow for return walking. The pitch we chose was level for our motorhome, it was easy to walk across to the toilet block. Great wifi and good TV signal reception. The portable shower and toilet block, replacing the original ones, which had been flooded, were lovely, clean, well heated and comfortable to use. We will definitely be returning later in the year, this great campsite and Shrewsbury has a lot to offer.
