A aimé : Scenery, location, back to basics campsite. Trustworthy and informative owner. Big campsite but quiet.

N'a pas aimé: Warm water for dishwashing and hand washing in toilets.

A aimé : Quiet campsite with lots of space between pitches. Rowland was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Basic facilities, but all that we needed.

A aimé : We love campsites where we can choose our pitch, so we chose a spot next to the field overlooking Freshwater West. The scenery was beautiful, and there were plenty of level-pitch opportunities for tents. The site is near Freshwater West Beach and Angle West Bay, both beautiful with plenty of coves (Angle) and dunes (Freshwater) for play and exploration. Pembroke is only a 20-minute drive away, which is also where the supermarkets are if you need to restock (we didn't come across any local shops). The field is big enough for kids and dogs to go crazy. There is no play area, so bring a ball and other outdoor toys. The site owner is easy to reach by phone if you have any questions. I'm sure we'll come again.

N'a pas aimé: The only point for improvement we encountered during our trip was the shower facilities. Flaking paint went on our feet, which isn't ideal when you're trying to get clean. The coin machines in both ladies' showers were full – I don't think they'd been emptied in a while – so I had to pack up and head to the men's. This was not a big deal as the men's showers were unoccupied at the time, and the men's coin machine was taking coins so we could all shower, but it was an inconvenience.

A aimé : Rugged and simple site. Good rural location with nice countryside views. Very pleasant service.

N'a pas aimé: Toilets limited, and both they and showers are very basic. This was fine for us but wont suit everyone. We were there in wet and windy weather - and the site is a bit exposed. The view from one side of the site is a busy and brightly lit refinery!

A aimé : Everything. Lovely views. Rowland is so friendly. The on site ameniti s are ideal and clean. Really gr at value for money. Plenty of space pet pitch. Really close to Fresh Water West Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

A aimé : Roland, who runs the site, was really helpful and friendly. We could park wherever we wanted and found a really flat spot overlooking the sea. We drove a couple of minutes down to the beach and it was breath taking. Toilets and pot washing facilities were standard - didn’t use showers so can’t comment, but apparently you need a 50p coin to operate.
