The Kings Head

A aimé : Warm welcome when we arrived, food was lovely. Liked the freedom to chose our parking area, quiet site so no trouble in having a decent night's sleep

N'a pas aimé: Limited choices on food menu. There were two toilet/shower blocks, however one was totally out of order. The other one had only 1 toilet with shower in use. Wasn't a problem on our stay as there was only 3 pitches occupied. However the one toilet/shower that was in use was dirty and the only loo roll available is was what we put in. Shower was also cold. Lovely little site if the toilets were sorted. They also have 2 little lodges, which again could be lovely with a lick of paint, cleaned and outdoor furniture replaced. I hope if we do visit again, someone has injected some love into this place.

A aimé : The space as there was plenty of room being a community football pitch. The pub was friendly and local.

N'a pas aimé: The toilets and shower had no maintenance, there was no toilet paper and another customer got some from the pub . The shower room and toilet area needed to be cleaned from grass and mud as you were standing in it getting changed from the shower, no rug . Soap dispenser broke, other shower rooms out of use. No shop as the one advertised was only selling plants . Nearest garage was Texaco 4 miles away and sold everything needed for a camp trip, Fire logs, food, alcohol, milk, bread and bq stuff .

A aimé : Loved the space, how easy it was to book and pay. We just turned up and pitched up with no hassle. We had two dogs with us at no extra cost and the Kings Head pud was on hand for refreshments and great food. The walks in Meifod are added bonus.

A aimé : Really lovely pub- the food was excellent and reasonably priced and staff abundant and helpful. The pitches were exactly what they said they'd be; none electric, flat grass in a quiet location. Outside seating area and football pitch ideal for kids. Basic but clean shower and loo which we weren't expecting plus access to pub facilities. Great site.

N'a pas aimé: The toilet and shower facilities were really disappointing. Only one shower unit of 5 was open (the rest were ‘out of use’) meant that the facility became very dirty quickly.

N'a pas aimé: Only one toilet with shower available. Which for the amount of vans and tents was not enough, also the Men’s pub toilets were full of flies and smelly
