Seven Acres Camping Site

A aimé First time camping - site was clean and great for kids
Could hear Longleat wildlife as well which was perfect.
Will definitely book here again.

A aimé Loved that the general camping area hasn’t got any cars and the wheelbarrows and trolleys were very useful!

Beautiful surrounds and felt very safe for the children to run around.

Really liked the play area and that campfires are allowed.

N'a pas aimé Not enough showers or toilets, and the toilets and showers needed to be cleaned/maintained better. You’d often find no toilet roll or flooded shower areas

We are told we must camp on our designated pitch but there aren’t any designated pitches in the general campsite which was confusing on arrival. This is also frustrating when we are told we must book a pitch per tent but there aren’t any pitches so could have just booked one pitch and saved £100+

We understand the car-free field and the lack of a reception area can feel a little different. We’ve designed the site this way to keep the camping field safe, peaceful, and more in touch with nature. Instead of a reception, we’re always just a phone call away if you need anything at all during your stay.

We also appreciate your comments about campfire smoke – it’s a popular part of the camping experience for many guests, but we’ll keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t spoil anyone’s visit.

Fire pits were a bonus.

A aimé Communal fridges, extension lead, mixed sex toilet and shower room, separate men’s and females toilets, showers and sink facilities. Nice stream, provides endless entertainment for kids. Saw lots of children playing nicely and had a wooden swing set. Firepits but bring your own wood as expensive to buy on site. Pitch up anywhere. Spacious campsite with one shaded corner, rest of space mostly full sunshine.

N'a pas aimé Slightly busier on Saturday but was a bank holiday. Staff shortage so toilets not replenished with rolls and soap but the man was very helpful bringing us wood whilst also working at the clubhouse down the road.

Over the bank holiday the toilet supplies were replenished but ran out much quicker than usual due to the site being so busy. We’re glad our onsite manager was able to help – we always respond quickly to any problems, even if we are short on staff. Thank you as well for your kind words, we’ll be sure to pass them on.

A aimé Being surround by beautiful trees was fantastic. Close to the shower/amenity block was very convenient

N'a pas aimé Allowing the fire pits made for a very uncomfortable stay, the smell was overwhelming and totally unnecessary on an already warm evening.
Due to location the road noise can be loud

A aimé Lovely site with great amenities, well looked after and the fresh fruit in the orchard was an added bonus

A aimé Quiet site with good facilities, and great for stargazing.

In a great location, close to Longleat with Frome and Warminster both easily accessible to get any essentials that may be needed during the stay (Frome has at least 2 supermarkets and a retail park with other shops such as The Range, Warminster has at least one supermarket and a lovely garden shop which sells firewood).

The climbing frame was very much enjoyed by my daughter, as was the stream (she decided to sit in it on the first evening, getting herself soaked 🤣). The gate to enter the site was different but made it very private, the camping field being car free was great.

The quiet times were followed so it was nice not being woken at first light by someone outside excited and wanting to play, and getting the kids settled was fairly easy too 🥰.

N'a pas aimé Never saw the site owners, if I did they never introduced themselves to me. Although we had our own trolley to transport stuff, some of the carts provided by the site have seen better days, practically fell apart when we did use them.

We’re sorry we missed the chance to introduce ourselves during your stay – we do try to give guests space to unwind, but we’re always just a phone call away if you need us, and we always respond quickly to any problems. With the carts, most are in good condition but there is one that’s a little more worn – we’ll make sure that one is sorted. We’re glad you came prepared with your own trolley too.
