Westover Smarden

A aimé It was a fabulous site. There was a friendly welcome which is always nice . Its basic and on grass but it has a toilet which was always clean. There is fresh water and grey waste disposal. There is a beautiful pond with so much wildlife in it. Very peaceful place and cant wait to go again. Just lovely to sit and watch nature.

A aimé Everything there was nothing to dislike,stayed in the touring caravan on site.It is lovely, everything in there what you need really nice caravan, exceptional. Ivan & Karen are exceptional aswell really nice people nothing is to much trouble ,went to chill out for a few days ,what a place to to do it ,sitting outside doing nothing, the surroundings area is beautiful ,local pub 10 min walk people in there lovely .The food is spot on and the beer 🍺. Definitely will be visiting again I would just like to say a big thank you to Karen & Ivan for a wonderful stay not forgetting Guinness the dog who is lovely aswell ,I wish you both all the best for the future [ I know where to come to chill out in the future. PS DUCK EEGS ARE SPOT ON .

A aimé A wonderful, small campsite set in a beautiful location. We camped under the oak tree and were able to do some birdwatching from right outside our tent. We even saw some woodpeckers in the tree directly above us and some bats in the evening.

Facilities basic but perfectly adequate for a few nights and there is a lovely pub with a beautiful garden and a decent menu 10 minutes walk down the road. With no children, it was wonderfully quiet. Owner was friendly and helpful too.

My only fear with praising it so much is that it might be harder to get a pitch in future!

A aimé The owner was very friendly and gave us a tour of the 17th century house. Quiet at night and a good pub again with friendly staff and great food and beer.

A aimé Quiet, peaceful site. Short 5 min walk to the nearest pub, 20 mins to the village. Really friendly hosts, thanks very much for the stay. We will be back

N'a pas aimé Not so much a dislike, but the area has rubbish phone signal. Obviously not the fault of the owners. Perfect if you want to completely get away

A aimé Lovely tranquil spot, lots of space and nice flat pitches and you get to feed the beautiful sheep. Only 30 minutes from channel tunnel so very convenient for a stop over. Karen, a very friendly, helpful host.

Réponse du gestionnaire : This reciew is unfair, since pitchup clear state there are no showers on site. Some dips are present but not considered a risk of fracture since the field is rolled regularly. The site is advertised as a working farm and that is part of the charm that other guests are attracted to.
