A aimé : Beautiful site, loads of wildlife. Bakery/shop owners and check in staff all lovely.

N'a pas aimé: Tired (albeit clean) shower facilities. Expensive compared to other sites. Our pitch felt small and extremely close to the next pitch.

A aimé : We booked as a family and requested to be next to another family. We ended up being opposite, but this really wasn't a problem. We booked a super pitch and it was a really good size with water and electric on the pitch.We were not far from the toilet block which was kept clean and had lots of dry space in the showers, so clothes didn't get wet. The site was well maintained and the walks around the site and the adjacent countryside were lovely. There is lots to do in the area and local roads were good. It was only a short drive to Penrith and we were easily able to visit local attractions including Ullswater. Staff in the shop, pub and check in areas were all really friendly and welcoming. We would definitely like to return to this site. The on site bakery/ shop served a delicious breakfast and some food in the evening.

N'a pas aimé: The water in the wash up area could have done with being a little hotter - it took a long time to come through warm. There was no wifi to the touring pitches, but free wifi was available in the pub. When we booked, a restaurant was advertised on site in the pub, but this was no longer running and food options available were limited.

A aimé : Nice and quiet in April, Good hardstanding pitches with electric, plenty of wildlife around the park. Facilities clean and maintained. Miles of walking around the lowther park and river

A aimé : Location. The river and walk to the castle . Staff very pleasant and helpful.

N'a pas aimé: Nothing about the pitch is superior. A mixture of grass, mud and gravel. It needs refurbishing.

A aimé : Beautiful, clean and tidy site. Lots of wildlife.

N'a pas aimé: We arrived on Monday afternoon. No where to go for food on site. Due to the very wet weather did not want to drive off site to look for shops/ cafe.No shop for basic essentials. Shower and toilet facilities were tired. £12 pound charge per day for WiFi was unacceptable, considering we only used this site for an overnight stay.

A aimé : The site is well kept and in a beautiful location, lovely walks and very peaceful.

A aimé : Walk around Lowther Park proximity to Penrith. On site pub good and toilet blocks clean and tidy

N'a pas aimé: Under trees with a rookery above us noise and droppings terrible. Small pitches and hemmed in on site bakery never open
