I’m sorry you felt it was like an industrial estate. The nearest factory is actually about 35 miles away in a place called Siddick. I think you might mean the farm buildings – we are on our own working farm, and this is the very first time anyone has ever described it as “industrial.”

The units in the yard are lucky to share the same incredible mountain views as the campsite. From here you get unobstructed, 360-degree views of the fells, as well as fields with our cows, sheep, and even our willow crop (hence the name).

We absolutely love this part of the Lake District that we’re lucky enough to call home – and to share with our visitors. The tents are fab, aren’t they? 😊

A aimé Small site in a fantastic location with lovely views. The owner Lindsey was around and she was really friendly and helpful. The local village (with good pub choices and a corner shop) was just a very short walk away. Toilets and washing facilities were basic but adequate. Would definitely use this site again 👍

A aimé View was spectacular. Hook ups and water right by pitches made life easy. Owners were super friendly and helpful. Showers / toilets / washing up facilities were great and cleaned regularly. Central to walks in the area. Wi-fi was better than at home (!) if you need to stay in touch as signal with mountains can be a bit dodgy.

N'a pas aimé Hard pitches make it difficult to put pegs in the ground - just be aware if planning to put up an awning. However, great for levelling your van and all weather.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you so much for your reivew Rachel, we wish we could have had some grass on the pitches but as the field next door to the site reflects its a very wet part of our farm so the hard standing was our only option. I have added a note to the welcome information though so that people know to bring sturdy pegs etc so thank you. Lindsey

A aimé Lovely site within walking distance of 3 dog friendly pubs.
Toilet and shower facilities were clean and tidy.

A aimé Beautiful private campsite with a limited number of pitches, all with mountain views and plenty of space. Restrooms are immaculately maintained. We had a great time, highly recommended!

The facilities - very clean toilets and showers
The site location - very close to Braithwaite with its pubs and its hills

A aimé Good clean facilities. Excellent showers and washing up . Level hard standing pitches.

N'a pas aimé Better marking of pitches. We had to take the van out one day and left markers to say the pitch was taken. When we returned, vans had parked both sides of our pitch leaving us barely a metre each side. I suspect this is not legal from a safety aspect (fire risk). Fortunately we were able to move to another pitch which did have planters marking the pitch. Hopefully this will be done for all pitches.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Good morning, the pitches on the left of the site are the numbered, dedicated, motorhome pitches. I will maybe add a note to say that we would like guests to park on the left hand side only, the area you are referring to that has no planters or markings to the right alongside the field is not marked out for motorhomes as we are putting two more of the safari tents in that space. Thank you for pointing it out to me though I will definitely add a note to the booking information right away.
