A aimé : The pictures don’t do the views justice, even with the rain it was so gorgeous! Very clean toilet facilities and even had a games room with a pool and table tennis table. Owners were very helpful with recommending places for us to go, and showing us around the site. Wish we could’ve stayed for longer!

N'a pas aimé: No WiFi but the 4G signal was strong so this wasn’t really an issue in the end :)

A aimé : Everything was amazing. The view, the sheep, the chickens, the facilities, the service. Only stayed one night but will definitely be back. A small campsite run by a lovely couple who are building something truly special. Being selfish, I’d like to keep it a secret but this couple deserve every success for what they are creating here.

A aimé : This is such a beautiful campsite with amazing views and a decent walk down to the lake. You’re surrounded by wildlife and mountains. The owners were so attentive and friendly and all the facilities were spotless and really well maintained. Each pitch comes with a fire pit too which was so fun to use. You’re also just a short drive from towns like Cockermouth and Keswick for things to do during the day. Amazing value for money!

N'a pas aimé: The only issue was that the soil under the grass was very rocky around our pitch which made getting pegs into the ground quite difficult

A aimé : Chickens wandering the site - they were very friendly and would Come to say Hi The beautiful sheep - some If the cutest I’ve ever seen Amazing view of the lake Peaceful Fire pits with logs for sale on site Quite a small site so appeared very safe for children who seemed to love the area for playing within sight of parents

N'a pas aimé: It was a bit windy - mostly due to elevated and open position however this also ensured the gorgeous view If you needed a shop would need to drive

A aimé : Just got home from 2 nights at Irton House Farm, the pictures don't it justice. Fell in love with the views the from the moment we set foot on site. Such amazing views of the mountain and lakes. Was greeted on arrival and showed to our pitch, very friendly and welcoming family. Facilities were very clean, with great hot showers. We really enjoyed the farm setting, our pitch was next to the sheep, which we loved. Going on a walk through the sheep filled fields was fun and even got to watch the sheep shearing on the farm. Site is the perfect size. Overall a quiet, very peaceful and beautiful place. Will definitely be back.

A aimé : The Campsite was very clean and well looked after. The pitches are a really good size. The views are amazing! The toilet and showers are the best we have ever used, constant hot water and always clean. Would highly recommend

A aimé : Another great holiday at this wonderful small site. Keep returning as it is a quiet rural site and the views are amazing. Pitches are a great size with plenty of room. Toilet and shower facilities are always spot on…lovely hot showers and toilet/ showers are always kept very clean and tidy.

N'a pas aimé: Can’t be helped but we love peace and quiet which can’t be guaranteed as you never know who you are going to be pitched beside.

We do our level best to enforce peace and harmony on the site and will stop unruly behaviour, but unfortunately, when it's excitable young children running around screaming, it's just part of the rich tapestry of camping. We also do our best to pitch families and couples in their respective groups which helps generate like-minded conversations and friendships.
