Purple Badger Camping and Fishing Lakes

A aimé : We stayed in the Val bell tent at Purple Badger for the first time having used used one of the standard camping pitches several times previously. Depite a booking glitch with Pitchup, Mark was as usual extemely helpful and the issue was resolved without a problem. Having camping throughout the UK with my kids since they were very young I can honestly say this is a fantastic site with no downsides at all, even when the weather is less than favourable. Each pitch is large, numbers on the site are limited, the facilities are excellent, including fridge/freezer, covered games area, coffee and snack cabin, wood fired pizzas available during the Summer period and nice showers / wash up area too. The fishing lakes are also great, and not too busy either. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Purple Badger, hopefully later in the Summer if we can squeeze it in.. :)

A aimé : Great site - the site was half empty so we had a good amount of privacy and space. It's small but we liked this. The toilet facilities were the best Ive seen at any site and the washing up, fridge and seating areas were well thought out! Lighting around the facilites was brill. Firepit for every pitch and the no dogs policy was a clincher (the main reason we chose this site). We were thankful that despite the amount of surrounding water, we didn't encounter any problems with mosies or bugs (maybe time of year not sure?) No wifi or reception? loved it. We thank the friendly owners/management team for a very enjoyable stay.

A aimé : Arrived early, to find ability to grab a coffee and bacon sarnies....made my day. The chaps let me put my tent up early as well. Very happy. Played I'm games room with my girls on the table football before campfire cooked dinner.

A aimé : Great site and clean facilities. My daughter loved the table football and the mud kitchen as well. Was great seeing her thriving in the outdoors. Helen and mark were great and told me where everything was. Will definately come again!

A aimé : We enjoyed the place by simply staying in the games room and read books. The most important thing is that they have a proper toilet and shower rooms. These really makes me happy.

A aimé : As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with lovely smiles and a warm welcomes and super flexibility as we turned up hours before check-in but we were made to feel like it was no problem at all. Lovely quiet and well thought through layout. Really nice site and all the facilities were top notch. Lovely rustic feel and the coffee and sandwich hut was delightful. I would whole heartedly recommend this place....
