A aimé : Clean, easy to find, quiet & the pizzas on site were amazing

N'a pas aimé: The website states there's a bus, there were none. We walked into Stow on the Wold but its a 60 mph road with no pavement. The club was also closed even though it should have been open. I think we were just unlucky with the weekend we picked but it would have been good if we had known this beforehand

Réponse du gestionnaire : Hi, thanks for leaving a review. Just for clarity, the website says there is a bus service near by which is in the village of Oddingon, a 5 minute walk from the camp site. There is also a walk into Stow from the camp site via footpaths & the village of Maugersbury which saves the walk along the main road. The clubhouse is usually open on Wednesdays-Sundays from 6pm, however this is dependant on use as we cannot afford to have paid staff on site with no one using the clubhouse & we struggle to get volenteers mid week. We try to align with Zonda Pizza on site with our opening times. We'll review our web site listing & make this a clearer if possible. Thanks for staying with us.

A aimé : Lovely site, friendly staff. Very busy weekend for them but all clean and tidy. Good site for exploring from by foot or car.

A aimé : Location amazing. Great views. Quiet. No1 there. Very peaceful.

N'a pas aimé: Guy strimming grass at 7.30am. No1 to speak to at all. That cud be good or bad. All pitches on a slope.

N'a pas aimé: No greeting or check up on. Dirty floors in the showers. Toilets and showers not cleaned once in the 5 days we where there. Sloppy pitches.

Réponse du gestionnaire : HI, thank you for your comments. we're sorry you appear not to have enjoyed your stay. We don't have a dedicated camp site manager which is why we put a phone number for our club steward on the booking form & on several signs located around the grounds. There is a sign bioard on entrance to the camp site which clearly states which pitch you have been allocated, or in your case, the grass areas which are open to everyone. Our steward is on site based in the clubhouse for most of the day & a phone call would have located her. The dedicated showers & toilets for the camp site are cleaned daily & checked at least twice a day, however if you chose to use the rugby club toilets these are cleaned subject to rugby activites. Sadly the poor weather we have experienced have meant the grass has been soft, which should be expected, we also have hard standing pitches which can be booked. We hope you can stay with us again in the dryer months when we're certain your experiamnce will be much improved.
