Wild Camping at Barkerfields Farm

A aimé Easy to find.
Lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
Owners are very friendly, they come and greet you as soon as they can when you arrive and deal with anything issues that may arise promptly.
The facilities are cleaned and looked after regularly.
Its close to alot of good peak district stops such as Bakewell, Ashton on Water, Buxton etc.
Its wild camping exactly as described, would happily return.

A aimé Fantastic views, beautiful location. Amazing owners with the most knowledgable children. Thank you for making our visit with a trip to see the cows. Had everything we needed for a lovely weekend reset.

N'a pas aimé There was one noisy group which didn’t bother us, however the owner came and spoke to the group straight away.

The yurt was really clean and cosy.

Réponse du gestionnaire : We’re pleased you found it clean and cosy. It’s the first year we’ve had this tent so we’ll take your comments on board and will relocate it further away from the toilets for our next season.

A aimé The sight is really flat and we were able to chose where we pitched.
The absolute peace and tranquility and the stunning countryside views. The porta - loos were also really clean and smelt lovely :)
We spoke with the owner who said she kept a maximum of 20 pitches so the site never feels busy. There were only 10 other tents when we were there and only 4 others when we initially arrived :)

A aimé Beautiful views, very clean the bell tent was and very convenient to travel to along with booking. Definitely will be going back.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for your review. I’m sorry it was a bit too windy for you. We call ourselves a wild campsite because we are a pop up campsite and we are open to the elements. However because we don’t have any trees to help block the wind you do get 360 degree stunning views.

A aimé Great wild campsite in a beautiful area. It was very quiet when we stayed but probably due to the weather not being great. We stayed in the Bertie Bell tent which was perfect for our needs. Toilets were clean and there’s a sink for washing up etc. Monyash is about a mile away - there’s a good pub serving traditional food - we ate and drank there. Good walks in Lathkill Dale.

A aimé We liked it all. Owners were friendly and did their best to keep the site clean and tidy. The toilets were the nicest/cleanest portable ones we've used.
The field isn't over run, think there was around 10 campers and everyone got to pick their own spot. Lovely and relaxing, would definitely recommend.
