Whitemead was amazing!!The people who worked there were very helpful and the site-toilets ect were immaculate at all times.It was perfect walking distance with children to the pubs for meals and drinks and the campsite park was central to the campsite :) would definitely book again!!

Immaculately maintained site. Excellent facilities and exceptionally clean. Level ground for pitching with 10A EHU. Site team very conscientious, helpful, friendly and clearly reflected in the top quality of the site. Quite a good location to take a bus or the train. Loved the Bovington Tank Museum that I walked to from the site. Also the coastal footpath walks from Lulworth a ten minute bus ride away. Decent pub the Ship literally two minutes away.

Nothing comes to mind.

Friendly and helpful staff. Showers and toilets spotless. 5 minutes walk to train station and bus stop. Lovely site and ideal spot for exploring dorset.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was our 1st outing using the motor home and the man who showed us to our pitch said they could help us with anything we needed, just to ask. He gave us some info about the area and suggested places to visit and told us about a discount at the local pub. The park was really clean and tidy, the toilet/shower block was clean as was the washing up area. Although the train line is right next door it didn't bother us at all, it is a quiet site. Having the train station right there was great, as it meant we didn't need to move the van once we were settled, we got the train into Weymouth for the day and the bus links seem great too. The village of Wool is very spread out, but we found the butchers and the local Spar store which stocked everything you could need. Overall a good 1st experience and we would definitely recommend the site.

Our only criticism - if you can call it that - is that the shop opening hours are not displayed anywhere and it didn't seem to open until about 8:30am and close about 6pm. Could do with longer hours for when you realise 1st thing you've run out of milk or when you need something when you've got back at the end of the day.
But really there was nothing negative at all.

Sleeping next to a busy road and even busier train line that ran beyond midnight, yet there was no mention of this prior to booking.

Everything. It’s was so clean great for local shops. Was in the best position for visiting with train station so close.

Had to pay for Wi-Fi

On arrival we were met by a friendly staff member who showed us to our huge extra large electric hook up pitch. We had a tent here for the week. The premises has a key code secure entry and camera on site making you feel secure. It's a small site which gave a community feel but also meant that there were always plenty or space in the wash areas.
The site is very peaceful and is perfect for couples who just want to relax. The site asks anyone under age of 14 to be accompanied by an adult at all times and no ball games. Wifi is £2.50 a night per device. The site mostly is caravan visitors or seasonal caravan owners. We had a tent In-between another tent and then some unoccupied private caravans.
The location is excellent a stone throw away to a lovely pub and the railway station will get you to lovely places (our personal favourite)
Weymouth which is 25mins by train.
You can just leave the car and enjoy.
The site is so clean and grounds kept well presented. The shower rooms are large and are the cleanest ones I have ever been in on a camping site. The showers are so warm and powerful and have their own cubicle to change with a mirror.
There is a small shop on site if you forget anything too. If you have a dog there is a river walk which starts on the site down a short track road. You are near a train line so will hear trains and also cars that use the country road at night. But nothing compared to if you live in a city or large town.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at what I can honestly describe as the cleanest site that I have ever stayed on! The shower facilities were kept spotless and the various water drinking taps were a huge bonus. We stayed right next to the play park which my little one loved and meant that I could actually sit and relax in the evenings! The staff members were so lovely and friendly with huge smiles on their faces all the time! I had a problem with flying ants in my tent and someone was with me within 5mins with various sprays / powder which solved the problem in minutes! The park was also dead quiet by 10pm which was a huge bonus and I feel again rare to find in a campsite!
5min walk to the train station for the train to Weymouth and other destination which saved this mummy having to spend her whole time driving! Would fully recommend!

There was the odd traffic sound and it is very close to the train line , I was woken a couple of times by the train horn at all times during the night .
But perhaps if you were to ask for a pitch away from the play park the train noise would not be a problem.

Apart from this there was nothing to dislike as it’s in a perfect location for exploring so many places within 30mins!

We've just returned home from our stay here and I can't recommend Whitemead enough! The staff are so helpful and welcoming, the site is lovely and clean.
It has the most cleanest toilet/shower block we've encountered in all our travels.
The train/bus station is only a 5 minute walk from the site which was handy for us as we didn't want to take the campervan out too much.
