The staff went out of their way to look in their stores and dig out some old ones for us to borrow during our stay. It was very much appreciated.
No me gustó: Other than a bad spell of weather, which no-one could do anything about, nothing.
Excellent base to explore the South Coast.

Nothing was too much trouble and there were a multitude of pamphlets describing the local attractions and places to visit. Rail and Bus services (and a pub and chippy) 2 minutes from the site.

We're sorry that the lack of an onsite bar or entertainment was not to your liking, even though our park was a hit with your kids. However, there is an excellent pub situated just 100 yards from our front gate, offering great food and entertainment all year round, at a discounted price to all of our guests.

The train noise was minimal and the dark sky and stars at night were a lovely bonusNo me gustó: The dog said he didn’t like the firing from the range one evening!

Check in was easy and the pitch was a good size. Facilities are immaculate, proper showers with plenty of hot water. Music in the toilet blocks also a nice touch. Staff very friendly and helpful
No me gustó: Pitch was a little boggy but it's the end of season and will have been well used.
Onsite shop very expensive but nearby garage is well stocked with essentials

Thank you for your review. Although we were disappointed that you failed to see any of the positive attributes of our site that almost all of our other guests consistently experience during their stays, we’re glad that you are giving us this opportunity to reiterate the importance of choosing a suitable pitch, checking your booking details and reading site Terms and Conditions before booking your stay.
Your booking was for 2 adults in a small campervan. Despite there being cheaper, more suitable pitches available, you chose to book a 169m2 extra large grass pitch - the most expensive pitch type we offer, intended for guests who are happy to pay that little bit more for the extra space. On your arrival to site, you proceeded to put up a rather large tent next to your campervan, even though you failed to mention or include this on your booking. We got the impression that this was your intention all along and the reason why you booked the extra large pitch in the first instance. Our pricing structure is very transparent and clearly states that gazebos, awnings and/or pup tents are not included in any of our pitch prices but when our warden pointed this out and asked you to pay for yours, you didn’t take too kindly to his request, claiming that no other site has ever charged you extra for the addition of a gazebo/tent, something we find very hard to believe.
We do not feel your review is a true reflection of our site. Our regular reviews speak for themselves and even though we don’t feel that we need to justify our prices, we do believe it compares extremely well to other similar sites in our area.
Whoever you book your next stay with, may we suggest checking the details of your booking and reading the terms and conditions of your stay beforehand to avoid any disappointment.
