We stayed here for two nights at the weekend and couldn't fault our stay at all. All long-term campers, as well as the staff that greeted us on arrival, were lovely. The gentleman who showed us to our pitch gave us information on everything we needed to know and the ladies in the office were bubbly and friendly.

We particularly liked the radio in the shower/toilet block. Such a small touch but brightens everybody's mood and gives you something to jig along to if you require a midnight wee!

Pitches were clean and flat, the place was well maintained, plenty of bins, and a lovely walk down the track to the river no more than 5 minutes. Of course, the fantastic weather was a lovely addition to our stay but sunshine or not, this place would've ticked all of our boxes.

((Absolutely not a dislike)) For those that tend not to take food with them, bear in mind there isn't a massive amount of food places to take food away from. There are lovely pubs nearby and a Chinese but, particularly with our dog, we were looking for places we could return to camp to eat! We were happy to have the lovely chippy down the road for two nights in a row but there is little to no deliveroo/ubereats. Something to bear in mind!

On arrival we were greeted by Shane who took us under his wings. We drove on the park, shame unhitched the caravan, popped it onto his little tractors and put it onto our pitch. All we had to do was level up, connect the electrics and fill the water. Service was just brilliant.
Shane kept popping back toake sure everything was ok and we were comfortable. Then we met the owners, Roy and Jill who were so nice and jolly. Overall a brilliant site to stay in. The toilets and shower blocks were that clean you could easily eat your dinner off the floors. Please don't hesitate to stay here, you will be pleased you did.

There was nothing to dislike.

We loved Whitemead. It is a quiet spot, very accessible, with lovely owners and brilliant facilities in terms of bathrooms and a washing-up area. It is also ideally located for visiting the many places on the Dorset coast.

Constant road noise throughout the night , Trains not too bad , intrusive CCTV system pointed at pitches.

The owners were very friendly and so helpful, park was very well maintained, showers and toilets were really clean. Hopefully we will stay there again. Thanks nothing

Nothing really enjoyed

It was our first time getting away and this place didn’t disappoint. Friendly helpful staff who greeted us on arrival. Communication when we were stuck in terrible traffic was excellent, helped make us feel better when we weren’t on the move. Facilities were clean and the showers ran hot. Our pitch was level and close to the shower block and the shop.
Site is close by to the pub which offer you discount on food for staying at Whitemead which is an excellent bonus and the trains on other reviews didn’t bother us and we were right by the gate.
Local bus takes you right to the drop off for durdle door only a 10 mins bus ride and we took the 30 minute walk to Monkey world.
Would definitely stay again!

Very noisy at night time. Train station next to site, freight trains running through the night, busy A road noisy traffic, and helicopters as well! Army base nearby.

The tent pitches were so muddy! My shoes were caked in mud, could feel it squelching under my ground sheet when walking around in tent.

Flies on the site on a few occasions getting in my face. Also quite a lot got into the tent at one point and had to clean them away with the wipes.

Allocated electric socket didn’t work so had to use my neighbours one, luckily no one was there. Would of discussed it with reception but I was out early, and back late. It wasn’t a massive issue because no one else showed up . I did send an email but didn’t get a response..

I get the impression this is more of a caravan park, and people can bring a tent and camp if they want. But I don’t think the grass is cared for well enough to camp…

Most of all how clean everything is, the toilet block is spotless as was the washroom. The only problem was the weather on are visit, rain and wind, but again the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend is site.

We had a wonderful stay! This is an awesome part of the UK. So many beautiful places within a short distance. The campsite is 2 mins walk from a great little pub too.

The campsite has a real charm and homely feel. The staff; Shane, Monica and the rest of the team can’t do enough for you!

The showers and toilets are immaculate. There is a lovely radio station streamed into the showers playing all the hits from the 70’s 80’s and 90’s which really gave us pleasure during our showers!

LOVED the shower facilities, very clean and loved the fact the shower cubicles have an area for your belongings which stay dry. Also loved the fact there were ‘sink’ cubicles where you could brush your teeth ect in privacy. I wish all sites could have facilities like these!
Liked the shop and even though it’s close to the end of the season it still had all the essentials.
Very friendly and helpful site owners, have us some great tips on where to eat, and The Ship Inn was literally a minute walk away, and great food.
Lovely tidy quiet site and very close to the Tank Museum which was perfect.
Games room a real bonus too.
